"This was my first time staying at this location. I was impressed with the rooms, cleanliness and the space. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. The restroom was spacious and clean. Free breakfast and coffee, tea, juices and a verity of milks. A large lobby with a bar and weekend entertainment. Happy Hour free drinks from 5:00pm -6:00pm. The hotel has the floors separated floors 1-14 and 15-27. I would stay here again. The con: There are only two elevators for each wing and during the hours of breakfast, it takes awhile to get an elevator to your floor. If you are in a hurry, you may want to leave a little earlier."
"I know that Manhattan is an unfriendly and dirty place, and I don't expect there to be containers of rubbish and mountains of rubbish bags in front of a hotel entrance, but you just have to accept it here. Apparently the management is not able to organize this better. The room is ok, clean and quiet, that's fine. But the breakfast is an absolute disgrace. You can tell that the management doesn't care at all whether the guests feel comfortable, otherwise they would find additional staff and space so that the guests have a pleasant start to the day. Here, however, greed for profit rules over guest satisfaction. The quality is poor, eggs and potatoes cold instead of hot, something is always missing, and we would need at least twice as many places. It would be more comfortable in Grand Central Station and there would be fewer people jostling with you. They're probably ripping off tourists here and don't want regular customers."
"Stayed here for work. The best aspect of this hotel is its location, especially in relation to Madison Square Garden and Moynihan Train Hall! The hotel itself is very average. The staff were friendly. The lobby is basic but has a bar and breakfast area since the hotel offers complimentary breakfast. The hallways and common areas are very tight and very worn looking and feeling. The room itself was fine. It was rather small, and also felt worn and tired. But, for a few day business trip, it did the trick. I’d say this place is due for a refresh soon or need better maintenance. Overall, if you need a very basic and small room in this area in NYC for work or pleasure, then I’d recommend this place."
"Stayed here for 2 nights while on work trip in NYC - it’s off the avenues so quieter but still near enough to Penn Station , Madison Square Gardens, etc. Not much of a view and soundproofing’s not the best but not horrible. Good service, clean and comfortable. Good value for money."
"Recently stayed here during my visit and was pleasantly surprised how nice all the staff was. From the front desk to the concierge, they were all super friendly and eager to please the guests. One manager in particular was also very friendly and said hi to everyone. They had free wine and apps from 5-6pm while we were there and that was super nice! Free breakfast had pretty good variety too. Only downside are the slow elevators, only 2 for the whole hotel and there was a day we waited almost 10 min. But all in all this hotel was very worth it for the area and made our NYC stay very pleasant!"
