"Walk in this place and take a good look at the deli counter. All the meats and cheeses are out, open and uncovered -- theyre also presliced. Today 5/7/23 i am cartian that one slice had mold on it. The soup (for the most part) is nasty. A piece of Bone was found in the soup one time as well as the meat not being cooked all the way through. I hate to sound like a nag but its been more than a few times at this place. The female cashier thats present on most days needs a attitude ajustment as she is not very friendly to ALL customers."

"I live in the neighborhood so I’m biased but McCarren Natural really is the perfect ‘bodega’ / deli / corner store. They have a great selection of snacks and household essentials, and a better-than-average selection of groceries and specialty foods. The deli even serves Korean food! In Fall / Winter they have fresh apple cider. They’re open early and close late. All the staff are great, Kevin especially is a great character."

"Right by my work. I get lunch here about once a week and it’s excellent. Service is always great, they have items I wouldn’t expect but end up needing, and they even have a punch card for people who work/live in the neighborhood to reward them for being repeat customers. Also don’t sleep on their fresh fruits: best mangoes I’ve found in Williamsburg/GP."

"Overpriced deli - much better options in this area. Card minimum in 2022.. come on. The owner laughed in my face and said “sorry to trick you into spending more money”. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Also refused to sell me a coffee refill for cash 30 min after?? I work in this neighborhood and I’m sad I have to change my review from 5 stars to 1 star after speaking with the owner for the first time. Only because 0 stars isn’t an option. I’ll be spending hundreds of dollars at your competition this year, try and study your target market in the meantime. Good luck buddy!"
