By introduction, I got to meet the owner of the gallery to inquire about decorative arts and the pieces he had available at the gallery. The gallerist took the time to show me his gallery and warehouse full of items with rich history. He took the time to teach me about many of the pieces and gave me context to decorative arts movements and the craftsmanship of the unique pieces they owned. He advised me on museum collections to visit, auctions to attend, and private collections to go see. This interaction has helped direct my eye to understand the history and craftsmanship of a number of decorative arts movements which has been invaluable to me as a collector. I have a lot of gratitude for his generosity of time and his wealth of knowledge. I hope to do business with him on a piece from their collection soon."
