"Dr. Rubin whom I saw once for an annual check up is great, no complaints. However, Northwell is run poorly. I had serious issues with another Northwell physician practice - the doctor was great but the support was horrific. And impossible to get in touch with any patient relations personnel. I called today to schedule an annual checkup. After 20 minutes on hold, I was told that they don't have my insurance on file, even though I am an existing patient, and refused to schedule an appointment before I fax a copy of my insurance card. Their manager "was gone for the day." I will be looking for a new doctor."

"Went there for women's wellness annual check for the first time but received an over $100 bill because I asked the doctor one question "My period is getting heavier, is that normal?" According to the biller -- "Questions are not covered by women's wellness check, which only includes pap smear & breast exam. Any question asked will lead to additional charge." Have NEVER heard this from any other GYN offices. The biller even said "I totally understand, but the insurance company doesn't allow us to under bill". Look if you want to be greedy, at least have the guts to own it."
