"I am a visitor here on Brighton and decided to spend this weekend trying various foods across different stores. I generally found this store to have higher prices, average deli products, and not very friendly staff. Nothing terrible, hence three stars, just nothing outstanding either. Will probably skip it on my next visit to Brighton Beach."

"First of all I am shocked and appalled. By all the racist comments about Russians. Before gold label this store used to be a huge food market called zalatoy kluchik. Now growing up Russians coming here since I was a kid and in 36 now I was there last week and I enjoy coming in here. Now yes sometimes the staff is frustrated because they are super busy and I’ve witnessed sometimes people don’t speak up when the servers are asking next or what else to serve. The food is very fresh as the deli I come all the way from queens just to shop there. And this is the only place I go to grab some tasty meet piroshki which I trust only this place no offense to others and the lovely lady hands my piroshki always with a smile and remembers me as a child. You don’t have to be russian to shop."

"Wonderful store. Love the deli section. Is incredible. Cold cuts and cheeses, I don't know where to start. Good variety of canned sardines, teas, preserves - quince being my favorite, and bread. There is food to go too. There is a lady that sells outside and has incredible honey preserves and cheeses. The only negative: I live too far away from Black Label."
