"A quick visit. Something are a bit pricey. But competitive with other stores nearby."
"Thieves and liars working on the New York Lottery machine! They think they can get over because people don't like to read and count! Tried to give me $5 for a $10 winning scratch off and acted like they lost the receipt and tried to say they gave it back to me but I showed them my pockets were empty and then one of the three guys gave me the correct $$$$!"
"They made me two ham sandwiches and they were delicious. They also found and returned my wallet. Which makes them and the person who found it and gave to them to hold for me, Saints. I love them all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on major holidays, this little shop is what most people would refer to as a 'bodega' or 'corner store'. However, they are very clean, and they carry a much wider variety of products than the average store of this type -- from staples like milk (whole, 2%, and skim), butter & margarine, bread, coffee (bricks & cans of ground beans for your home coffeemaker), sugar, and a decent cereal selection, to bacon, eggs, limited but decent fresh produce (lettuce, tomatoes, bananas, and beautiful, ripe avocados), cake mixes & frostings, soups, rice, pasta, canned tomatoes & jars of sauce, cream cheese, yogurt, and chocolate syrup, to household goods & personal items like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, diapers, shampoo, shaving cream, razors, nail polish remover, batteries, and other various sundries. They also have an actual deli with a selection of meats & cheeses as well as a grill for hot/breakfast sandwiches that's open from early morning until 3pm. And, of course, they have a wide assortment of chips, cookies, pre-packaged pastries, ice cream & other various frozen treats, candy, brewed coffee by the cup, soda, beer, cigarettes & other tobacco products, just like the average corner store. What makes them stand out most from other similar-style stores, besides the wide assortment of products, the cleanliness, and the fact that they never close, is the friendly and accommodating staff. I have been a regular customer of this family-owned & operated store for just over a year, since I first moved to Staten Island, and no matter who's behind the counter when I've come in, I've always been greeted with a warm smile and hello, and friendly conversation, and they've even added a number of products to their regular inventory at my personal request. I've come to think of this great group of people as my friends, and from what I've seen during my many visits, I am but one of a countless number of customers who feel the same way. Incidentally, they are conveniently located in front of the S48/S61/S62/S66 bus stop (heading up the hill, away from the ferry terminal) on Victory Blvd off the corner of Cebra Ave., they do sell MetroCards (though they often sell out of them before the new stock comes in; they will try to make change for at least one bus ride for you when this happens - just ask), there is an ATM machine inside the store, and they take debit/credit cards with a $10 minimum purchase. The liquor & wine shop a few doors up the street is owned by the same people, by the way -- it's brand-new, immaculately clean, well-lit, and organized, with an excellent selection of spirits and wines from all over the world, and well-worth checking out, too."
