"The selection is huge but you need to double check all expiration dates. Expect higher than average prices. It makes Whole Foods look reasonable"
"I went in with $30.00 in dollar coins, I apologized to the young man for having to count it. He then says we’ve never had this before pretty loud. I was already embarrassed because I don’t get paid at my job until Feb, 9. My children needed food so I had to take what I had. His boss was a few feet away so he asked him if he could take the change. His boss looks at me then tells him to count it. They wanted to know if it was quarters so I told them it’s change. (There were no PENNIES) The young man counts the change. Then the young lady cashier walks over to see what’s going on. She then looks me in the face and goes back to her register. I became annoyed because money is money and god forbid someone make someone do a little extra work ! The store was not full thank god. It’s a clean beautiful store but it’s 2024, inflation is here! My message to those workers, treat others as you would like to be treated and if you can’t at least try to remain professional. ILL SPEND MY MONEY ELSEWHERE."
"We like this store. Nice and clean, good fruit, well-stocked and polite team. Only comment is the bags. Really the cheapest bag is 99c?!? And the bags have the company logo all over them…Why not charge a quarter like Target? The bags go right in the garbage when we get home anyway…."
"Unfortunately we have been getting more moldy and ruined food here more often than not. In just the last few weeks we have come to find mold in the pita bread and ice cream bars that clearly had melted and been refrozen (the refrozen ice cream was at the bottom wrapper). Such a shame because the employees are nice and the location is convenient. Not worth the gamble with such high prices. *no attempt was made to eat any of these treats. This is what they all looked like upon opening."
"Yay! A real supermarket on Smith Street Street after many years. It's similar to Key Food but new and spacious! They have a sushi section. So happy to not have to schlep six blocks when I run out of flour. It's a nice addition to the block. Some of the prices are a little ouchy, but things are getting more expensive everywhere."
