Honeydew Drop Kiddy Loft

"Our family has two children enrolled at Honeydew at the Church Avenue location -- our son is normally downstairs at the Playhouse, and our daughter is upstairs at the Kiddy Loft. Both started when they were four months old, so Honeydew has been a part of our lives since the very beginning. To put it simply, Honeydew has been an amazing partner in these early years of raising our children. Both of our kids love their programs. They attend for ten hours a day, five days a week, and they are excited to walk in each morning and happy every afternoon when we pick them up. They have strong and meaningful relationships with their teachers, whom they love, and their relationships with the other "friends" at Honeydew are a source of joy for both them and us. From a parent's perspective, we deeply value the care they receive, the enrichment activities that make up their schedule, and the strong feeling of partnership we have with their teachers, which is reinforced with every single interaction and conversation. We decided to have our kids return to Honeydew back in May, as part of the first wave of children coming back into the program post-COVID-19 closing. We felt some trepidation making that decision, but we couldn't be more pleased with how it has gone. Honeydew admin has done a tremendous job setting out appropriate health and safety protocols, and the teachers and staff are clearly implementing those measures without fail. The teachers, who have all tested negative for the virus, are incredibly careful with their own PPE, they are rigorous in taking temperatures at both drop-off and pick-up, and the Kiddy Loft space itself is clearly as pristine and well-maintained as it has ever been. We feel completely comfortable sending our kids there every day. And the kids are thrilled to be back. Our son giggled with excitement on our drive to school that first Monday, and his little sister toddled off happily that same morning. They love being back at Honeydew, remain as close as ever with their teachers, and -- at least speaking for the older one -- are looking forward to having more friends around soon."

"My son is a former HoneyDew Drop child! He attended from the age of 1 through age 4. He absolutely loved Honeydew and so did I. The staff were very pleasant and always attentive. You can tell they have a passion for what they do. Not only is the staff loving and caring but the educational program is excellent, my son was very well prepared when it was time to enter public school. One thing we loved was there was a lot of focus on social emotional skills which aided him in knowing how to deal with his emotions, express his feelings and interact with his peers in an appropriate way."

We were definitely nervous to make a move to daycare, but thanks to Tinesha, the transition went so smoothly. He has the biggest smile on his face when I drop him off and pick him up.
