"Head Start was a great experience as a parent. My child attended 3K and loved going here. They learned so much & they always prioritized teaching the children. Such as doing a lot of art/mathematical projects that they would bring home all by the end of the month. Prior to this location, my child went to their Ozone Park location, and Angie, one of the owners, was super nice to accommodate me at her Woodhaven location due to moving. 100% definitely would recommend!"

"Where do I start…My daughter has been attending this daycare for over 4 years and now we have enrolled my son as well. Both of my children absolutely love it. We are so lucky to have come across this daycare. The staff are kind, thoughtful and very personable. They are excellent with the children. We love everything about this place and everything about the family who runs it. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found a place who care for our children and invest the time in teaching them new skills the way we do as parents. It’s a hard decision to make in leaving your children in the hands of others. If there is any doubt with the choice between this one or another, choose this place. There will be no regrets and the peace of mind knowing your child is well cared for is invaluable."

"The people that run the daycare are incredibly kind & the staff is warm and loving. I have recommended this place so many times on local facebook groups because parents should know what a gem it is! When my kid was having a rough time at drop off I got photo and text updates, when I requested an adjustment of some sort it was always done smoothly! I know I had found the right daycare when my kid would speak kindly of their teachers and smile when we would run into them in the neighborhood. I had my child in the daycare while COVID was still new to us all & the school managed the changing rules gracefully. It made me feel safe knowing that it’s a small school and health and cleanliness was a priority for staff & students. I think a real testament to their amazing school is the fact that their staff have been with them for a while! Highly recommend the school!"

"It took a while before I was able to place my child in their care and it was totally worth the wait. They are excellent with children actually look like they genuinely love working with them. They recently renovated the location and it looks amazing, always clean.! Trust them 100% with my daughter."

"Where do I start how lucky I was to find this daycare for my son 3 years ago. This daycare was very professional and thorough from day 1 during the parent orientation the Education teacher reviewed everything to ensure that I felt comfortable and knew what to expect from them. My enjoyed attending everyday and when he had speech services they were to accommodate him. Safety is key for them, they remember everyone’s faces and create a relationship with each family. I guess that’s why I kept him there the sense of family I felt and saw. I even brought my second son at 3 mths and Yolanda treated him like her grandchild which she does with all the kid’s but to see how my son’s eyes lit up when she opened the door every morning was very reassuring. The daycare is open even on days when school is closed so it help not having to worry what to do when schools are closed. If you’re looking for a safe loving place to care for your child then Woodhaven Headstart is the place to be. Had it not been for the pandemic and the change in location to further East, both my boys would still be there. What I miss most about them is their little projects, personalized projects each child did for me and my husband. The holiday celebrations full meals!!! My boys were well fed everyday!"
