"While I truly like Dr. Phillips and believe that he is an outstanding, kind and caring physician, I certainly do not feel that way about his son, Michael who cancelled many of my telemedicine appointments and basically when I had these telemedicine appointments Michael continually placed my call on hold so he could answer incoming phone calls from other patients. Michael basically wasted most of my session time, leaving me on hold and then cut my session short before my time was even up. I never actually received a full 1 hour session that I was entitled to with Michael. I contacted Dr. Phillips to share my disgust, disappointment and dissatisfaction with his son and the way I was treated. I let Dr. Phillips know that my experience has been an horrible and horrendous experience dealing with his son. Dr. Phillips went above and beyond to try and help me and found me a replacement therapist with the hopes that my experience with his practice and staff would be positive and memorable. In the very beginning I liked my therapist , Daniella Natale, but a short time later Ms. Natale started canceling my telemedicine appointments by text message because she was either too sick, or going away. I do not believe texting is the ideal way or professional way to cancel a telemedicine appointment with a patient. When Ms. Natale canceled my appointments because she was sick, I found this quite disturbing because only days earlier she was away vacationing on Fire Island for a week. Ms. Natale came home from Fire Island and suddenly became so sick that she fcancelled my appointments week after week all by text messages. What makes matters worse is that she was took sick to conduct my session but went back to Fire Island again. When she returned back home canceled even more of my sessions because she was sick again? I honestly felt like Ms. Natale didn’t want to be bothered and certainly was not interested in helping me at all. I honestly felt like she was simply blowing me off because she did not care and claimed that she was too sick to even talk to me over the telephone for 1 hour. During this entire time period I was lucky if I had one session for the entire month which was absolutely absurd and ridiculous. I felt that as a courtesy all of these missed sessions should have been made up by Ms. Natale but this simply was not the case. Considering I am supposed to be receiving therapy sessions once a week, and when Ms. Natale continues to cancel my sessions week after week, i am not benefiting nor am i receiving the medical care and treatment that I need and i believe this is wrong. It was bad enough that Michael cancelled loads of my appointments and cut my phone sessions short, just because I feel that he was more concerned about other patients than myself and I felt his conduct was totally unprofessional. When Ms. Natale started to do the same thing, I felt that something was certainly not right. I was quite frustrated and aggravated that these medical providers never bothered to make up all of the canceled sessions. I felt that if they truly cared about me and wanted to help me that they would have made these sessions up so that I fully received the medical care and treatment that I needed. Regrettably this simply was not the case. I do not believe that expecting my doctors to make up sessions that they canceled or extending my phone session times to make up for all the time that I feel strongly that I was cheated out of, is that much to ask for. I certainly do not believe it’s right or fair that this practice may have billed my insurance company for the full session even though I did not actually receive the medical care or treatment for the entire session. This should be thoroughly investigated by my insurance company. For the record the only reason that I was sent to Dr. Phillips is because he was highly recommended by many of my treating doctors. I truly honor and respect him but I am totally disgusted with his staff."
