"5 star service, 1 star food. As a born-and-raised Beijinger, I must say I am so disappointed at their fish. There is nothing like the authentic Beijing style fish head. They served us free dessert-sweet corn and Oreo, which is okay, no complaints since it’s free… but the fish is so disappointing I only had two or three bites. If you are looking for something like 旺顺阁, this place is not where you want to go."

"It was so pleasant yesterday. Me and a group of friends ordered the crawfish noodles, crab pot, and garlic crawfish. The servings were big which went well with the price. The waiters would come every so often to switch plates for us(at least 3-4 times). Although we didn't get their popular fish head soup, I'd definitely come back to try the other stuff too!"

"We are not familiar with Beijing Cuisine but our foodie friend highly recommended us to give Joy of Fish a try after we had Juqi together. We got their signature Steam Oyster with Garlic Sauce, Fish Head with Pancake and Braised Pork Belly & Intestine. The portion was huge even though the price was a little high. The food was overall delicious and authentic, especially the fish head. We love the soft pancakes which were soaked with the flavorful sauce."

"The staff were certainly polite and friendly, was quite attentive. Restaurant atmosphere was warm and lively, the portions are big here so it’s all family style. You’ll have to come hungry and love fish. I’m a stickler for flushing restaurants bathrooms, for a new restaurant they could do better. The staff was explaining to us they are still tweaking the dishes, one of my biggest note is the large stews and fish dishes could use some veggies and mushrooms, just fish and mushroom makes it a bit overall salty. Not a huge fan of the dense scallion pancakes they serve to dip with the dish stews. I probably could make fluffy. It soaked up a lot of the salt so I guess it was pretty decent. My wife did appreciate the duck blood, it was fresh and well cooked so compliments on that. The lobster/fish Mapo tofu dish was quite enjoyable. Overall I I would come back here again to see what they come up with. Maybe try more of their less popular dishes. I’m a huge fan of veggies with my protein to keep it well balanced."
