"We needed a few items moved from our home to a storage unit to make room for our new baby! I always dread having to work with movers as my experience in the past has always been negative. Wallace and Reed were the absolutely BEST movers I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Super friendly, professional, helpful... truly cannot say enough good things. Definitely would recommend 2 men and a truck and ask for Wallace and Reed if you can- they were awesome."
"I had used Two men and a truck before which was why I chose them this time. Unfortunately, this was the worse moving experience ever. They showed up HOURS late without the three men we paid for, they did not take everything that was supposed to go despite it all being labeled and ready to go for them. They took so long to arrive, my husband loaded one of the PODS himself to help speed things up. They were very disorganized and I had to remind them to wrap my expensive furniture, my dinning room set was still loaded unwrapped, $1,800 table. The longer they were there, the work got more sloppy. It was close to 10 o’clock before they were done when he had a 2-5pm slot and in the end, it only took them two hours to load the PODS. I’d give no stars on my review if they had not at least adjusted the bill. The last time I used them in Fayetteville, NC the team was great. This time they were god awful and I will not recommend them for this area."
"Its was our second time we use their services. We are absolutely thankful for the 2 trucks and 4 men that did our move last week. They all were very professional and receptive to our indications during loading, unloading, assembling and placing everything. Zero scratches and no damages to walls or pieces of furniture.Everything was perfectly covered with blankets and/or stretch film. Kudos for an “impecable” move!! great coordination and team work. Highly recommended."
"I would not recommend using these movers! It was a very small move, moving a king size sleep number bed. I paid for the added insurance, then signed after move that there was no damage. When I was putting the bed back together, I realized that they had pulled the wire out of the control box, rendering the bed useless (I just ordered a replacement control box to fix the bed), and a power cord from 1 of the 2 mattresses went missing (I still haven’t figure out how/where to buy a replacement).. During the move, the junior mover asked the senior mover why he didn’t tape the mattress bag (the cord/remote was dangling from the bag and went missing). Before the moved the bed frame, I recommended him to use the Saran Wrap stuff around the bed frame to protect the wires/electronics of the bed… he said it wasn’t needed and would be ok without it (he ended up pulling the cord out of the control box ruining the circuit board during the move). And they gashed the drywall up then stairs."
"I have been a long time client of this moving company over the past several years, and used them for many moves. However after this last move, I will NEVER use them or recommend them to anyone again. I had a limited amount of items to move (only furniture) and moved all of my personal items before they got there. During the move, I was by myself and the two guys, who were very nice, moved EXTREMELY slow. They arrived at 8:30 AM with everything ready to go for them and broken down, and just a couple of items needing to be wrapped. During this process it took them almost two hours to bring everything downstairs. And when they were moving items, the way they were moving them seemed a little backwards and it seemed like they were making it more difficult then needed to be. I have done this move TWO other times with more objects and other locations within two hours. They also asked me how far the new home would be( which they should have already looked into) because he needed to get gas. When I asked him if that would be a part of my “time” since I was being charged by the hour. He replied no, but then quickly stated he thought he would make it. I felt like I was possibly being taken advantage of. So I called and spoke directly with their Operations manager, Reco Jones. He told me he would look into it and also communicated how he felt like it also was talking a while and would keep track of the rest of the move, but also tell me he would be discreet and not let the movers know about my concerns. I also voiced my concern about why they were not prepared as well. Flash forward to us getting to the new home, they brought up my dresser. When it was unwrapped, it was found the dresser was completely unusable. When I let the movers know if the damage, there was no sorry only a “ Ill report it.” I then followed up with the manager Reco again. To then he stated he would start a claim, and I told him it didn’t look good that I expressed my concerns to him earlier and now my belongings were damaged. I also asked Reco about the time I was being charged and how that would be made up for. To which he replied that he would immediately send me an email to start the claim, and he would call me personally to go over how they would take care of me before I paid. So I waited patiently for an email and phone call, and never received one. At the end the mover dealing with the paperwork told me the price to which was the complete price because it was “within” the estimated time. I went upstairs to grab my card and call the manager since I still hadn’t heard from him. He answered said “ Oh well it was within the estimated time so we are able to charge the full amount, and whoops sorry I don’t know why you haven’t received an email from me about the claim.” The manager also didn’t seem to care that he was losing a long time client. Then I sent everything over, and how much the dresser was and how I would need them to send someone out to get it back downstairs since I had already paid for their services and now had more work to do then when we started. I did receive an email today about the dresser, to which was very vague, a half hearted apology and felt like the manager didn’t care and was trying to get me off his desk, and part of the claim there was no mention of sending someone to help remove the dresser. This whole process was horrible and it is very obvious this company doesn’t care about their clients."
