"The worst dr office! DO NOT GO HERE. The receptionists are absolutely useless besides there bad attitude they don’t do there job. It took me over a week to even get in touch with them to make an appointment and then it was crazy the way they treated me and my newborn son. if you could think of the worst scenario this is it. Dr. Matt islike an actor telling me what sounds good like a script. It was so impersonal he didn’t remember even the basic things like that my baby was premature and that he had digestive issues, he just filled in the blanks with no care at all. I He cut me off and I didn’t have the chance to even tell him anything let alone asking questions that I had alot of. He treated me like a piece of meat not making eye contact with me the entire time but instead stared at my mother. I am disgusted he should be ashamed of themselves all of them. I had to call them to confirm the patient portal password and that’s when they told me about my son’s test results so I had to call them They never called me. I had to remind him about the referral that he never gave me. He was rude and did not do his job, and now my son‘s health is at risk and my sanity. People told me negative things about him but since he’s the only pediatrician in Long Beach pretty much I went in with an open mind but I couldn’t regret it more. He didn’t care at all about my baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I went with Dr Cohen because of the great reviews but was disappointed that he offers no support for breastfeeding mothers and dismissed many of my concerns. Quick to prescribe medication without addressing the actual cause of the issue. He's very knowledgeable, but not for everyone, especially parents who like more holistic care instead of medications for their baby. Gives outdated recommendations like giving rice cereal, putting baby on a schedule, crawling is "not important" etc. Like I said, not for everyone. On a positive note I think he has good judgment in diagnosing based on symptoms."

"Dr. Matt Cohen and staff are amazing! I've been going since the birth of my 15 month old. He's very attentive and have great bedside manners. My 15 months old loves him. Her vaccines are quick and she cries for maybe 30 seconds... and is done. Last time we went for a flu shot, she didn't even cry at all. Love how he's very experience and how kind and caring the staff and Dr. Matt Cohen are with my toddler!"

"Dr. Cohen is by far the greatest pediatrician I had met before our girl was born. We met him at SNCH where he was giving new parents information on choosing the right hospital, baby doc, etc. At 8pm on his own time. That said a lot to me about his dedication to his profession, wanting to educate parents instead of just talking at us like somewhat trained monkeys. When my kid is sick, he first teaches me what is wrong, and then the proper plan of correction. As I am an aggressive Type-A personality, I appreciate his honest approach to medicine. He is thorough to the point where I almost never have additional questions. The front staff and nurses are phenomenal. They are wonderful ladies who do nothing but make your child's experience the best it could possibly be.. After all it's a kid at the Dr's office.. They freak out sometimes, so it's nice the staff is great with the kids. I would recommend Dr. Cohen to ANYONE, hell I drive 2+ towns away just to go to him, you should too. Tell him Alyssa's Dad sent ya!"
