"When your tour guide brings history to life! Dave was extremely informative. He kept the tour very interesting with his knowledge and entertaining with his stories and one-liners. Well worth your time to visit. The displays and exhibits were phenomenal!"
"Very interesting tour! We learned a lot from Lighthouse David! He was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide! We thought it would be a quick stop - but we had a nice hour long tour!"
"I enjoyed visiting this lighthouse. Easy to get to, plenty to see and packed with history. The downstairs rooms had information pages about items in rooms or events and people history at the time. The original location of the lighthouse collapsed into the lake but the lighthouse was rebuilt in 1875 where it stands today. The light is still operational today. $10 per person entry and a guided tour takes about an hour. 55 steps take you up the lighthouse and watch you don’t clunk your head as you come out on top of the lighthouse get you some Great Lake views. A nice shop on site, and clean bathroom facilities. Parking is ample and easy to get to lighthouse."
"What an interesting little Lighthouse and museum with lovely grounds. Tour guide was informative and the lighthouse keeper’s house was chock full of antiques and fun household items, The pot bellied style stove, in the living room, was work of art with beautiful chrome like filigree. The lighthouse isn’t too tall, 55 steps overall, but the last few are ladder like, so not too easy for the elderly. View from the top was gorgeous on our visit."
"Cool site, free to walk around outside. Pay to tour the inside of the lighthouse but I got there too late to tour (will see it next time). Definitely worth a stop! Good price on sodas and snacks in the gift shop and the homemade cookies were great!"
