Rite Aid

"pertaining to the pharmacy, NOT the store (have always had amazing interactions with the staff of the store, never any problems). i’ve been picking up my prescriptions solely at this rite aid for 5+ years. the experience has always been mediocre, but recently i’ve encountered some problems that made my decision to switch pharmacies laughably easy, despite this location’s convenience. the staff haven’t been warm, or welcoming. i called to make sure i had a prescription ready when i needed it. they gave me the wrong date (two weeks from when i needed it) and told me (basically) there was nothing to be done. i called again on the day that i ran out, and they gave me another arbitrary date, and said they could only fill it three days prior to the date in their records, and only if my prescribing doctor signed off on it. no problem! had i been told this the first time, i would’ve been able to do that with ease without missing any doses. i arrived to check on the prescription a day after my doctor had put in for a slightly early refill. the tech i spoke to at the counter told me it wasn’t ready, didn’t tell me why or when it would be ready. i approached the pharmacist and asked why i had been told different dates, and why my prescription had not been filled. the response i received was infantilizing and not compassionate. i wanted it sent to another rite aid to fill, and the pharmacist said it would take a long time and they would have to “call around” to see if any other rite aids had it in stock. at this point, i’ve missed two doses of a vital medication, and i’m being led in circles. upon leaving, i called another rite aid and had my prescription refilled nigh immediately. there is no excuse for medical professionals to be giving false information, not being communicative, and making the patient feel like they’re in the wrong. had several phone calls after the fact to cancel my prescriptions at this location, and they’ve all been rude and hostile. will absolutely not be returning to this pharmacy. this store is GREAT! the staff are funny and friendly, and i’m always greeted with a smile, sometimes even a “haven’t seen you in a while!” they make you feel at home, and are always happy to help. good on you, rite aid store! pharmacy i hate you"

"I received my refill in a ziplock bag this month. Is the store trying to save money?This is unprofessional and just not acceptable. Im purchasing medication from a reputable pharmacy not a local drug dealer. And why do your pharmacist NOT call when there is a problem with a script. I give my phone number. I have missed doses waiting bc I would have to come back. This pharmacy seems disorganized and inexperienced."

"Normally don’t write reviews, but felt compelled after my experience in the pharmacy. Recently started several new medications with limited guidance from my physician. Haley, the pharmacist, showed actual compassion and care with my questions and took the time to explain to me the different side effects and some ways to help reduce them. The one on one attention she provided was incredibly helpful and restored my faith in health care professionals. Highly recommend this pharmacy!!"
