Reviews
"Very nice and tidy park in the midst of queens village between jamaica avenue and hillside avenue"
"I love the park, family and community oriented. What I don't like is the handball courts being used to play cricket. One whole side being used not for the purpose intended. Every time I go can't play racquetball because the whole side is being used for cricket. Sign needs to be put up to say, handball, paddle, racquetball only!!"
"Not too crazy about seeing men just hanging out by the playground. Plenty of times when I take my son to the park i see the same few guys just looking way too suspect. Phones out and pointing in the direction of the playground is a little too weird to me. A few guys i stared back at them just to let them know that I was watching them as well. Some walk away and don't come back and some I still see around. If i continue to see the same few guys I'm calling the police. Because now i know which few are just hanging around by the playground. Listen, i hope I'm wrong about it all and maybe it's just nothing, but grown men hanging around a playground with no kids is automatically suspect if you ask me. Other than that it's a beautiful park. Keep your open and just please watch your children."
"I grew up going to this park in the '50s..only a couple rds over from 224th..loved it here..played on the old monkey bars and climbed trees and there was a kid pool with a fountain in the middle.. wish I had photos of this magical place that I loved so very much . Precious memories!"
"Nice park for kids. Lots of the usual slides and swings. Besides that they do have a full basketball court and two half courts alone with a supposedly handball court. The have a oval track in the center with some grass in and around it. Besides that the rest of the park is concrete so keep an eye on children, they can definitely get bruised of they fall. Lots of benches to sit on but it does get crowded during afternoon mostly 4-5 on days when the weather is good."
