"EDIT: After writing this review I was contacted by the owner and had a very pleasant and reassuring conversation. I can safely say that after speaking with her that the experience I had here was atypical of their usual service. I'm not entirely sure what happened in my case with the counselor that I was working with but I left the aforementioned phone call feeling much better about the experience. My only real critique at this point is perhaps having a more exhaustive intake process in order to match clients with better fits. I think that my time here boiled down to that me and the counselor just didn't jive and potentially both set each other off, which would explain the unusual experience I had. This place was very highly recommended to me and I can see that the care and attention they put into their clients and business is the actual way that it operates. I changed my previous rating to reflect this update in events. ---------------------- I felt like the service I got was subpar. The staff is really nice, but the way the therapist I had handled my ptsd triggers was really detrimental to my recovery. I was very activated and crying and instead of using any de-escalation tactics like I've experienced in previous therapeutic situations I was dismissed until the next session. I had to cry in my car in order to calm down. I felt like I was let loose unmoored and in a very vulnerable state with no help. This isn't the place I thought it was going to be and I'm kind of disappointed with the experience I had here. I'm sure this is a good place for some problems but if you are suffering from ptsd especially very complex situations/sexual abuse I would try and find somewhere else."
