"HACC has been giving me the opportunity to start college and be one of the first-generation college students in my family to graduate soon. Despite some flaws, it is still a good college with good professors. I wish I had more time to attend in-person, but virtual learning has been good to me and allows me to work full-time, both as a college student and employee. Thanks to my professors so far for allowing a full-time worker to also have a college experience, I never thought I’d have this after graduating high school. I believe attending this school was one of the best choices I’ve made."
"My experience with hacc so far has not been great. While most professors are nice I had one that failed me just because I was sick. I'm honesty thinking maybe going here wasn't a good idea. It's not just because of him. Not to mention there a lot of 25 year old looking people. This college just accepts anyone don't they? The computers their are also not that great. I have had nothing but trouble with them. I honesty thought about transferring. I was only going to hacc because my family wanted me to. I gave it a try anyway to see if this was the college for me. Hacc not the worst but, also not the best. I think it's more for people who have already been to college. These professors some of them don't help you and just let you fail. Student aid is also the worst. The school only seems to care about getting their money. Not sure if it's like that with every community college but, Hacc needs to do better. Of course this is a community college but, still."
"I can't explain how this college is horrible. I had a couple good professors, expect them other professors never help students! They never help us to get good grade. I remember one of the professors Boswell James, Thomas and one a lady I can't remember her name. They were just worse(((( 2 years I had taken english classes and I paid to much money , but still my english not good. I have never recomended this college. DON'T TAKE CLASSES IN THIS COLLEGE!!! I can just give 5stars "writing lab center" they are perfect!"
"This school is a joke. I've had teachers who spend the entire class period talking about celebrities, tried to talk to financial aid on campus only to find a sign on a piece of paper saying they're only available on zoom, and have called and waited 20 minutes for them to answer the phone. They don't update their website with registration dates, and when you point this out to them they tell you to find a different page that they do update. I found out less than a month before classes started that they charged me $850 for an intro to business software class that was required for my degree, that I took two semesters before. I was not notified of this balance for 6 months until they sent it to collections. No letters, no notices on my account, no emails, nothing. This was a class that taught the difference between a laptop and desktop computer, what a windows operating system is, and how to save a file in word, type text (literally just type) into a word document, print, and do any other basic stuff in Microsoft products. $850 for this class. I wouldn't pay $50 for someone to teach me such common knowledge stuff. And again, this class is *required.* In addition to this, HACC will refuse to give you YOUR transcript, which is YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION which BELONGS to you, if you owe them money. Withholding transcripts in an effort to collect debt is an unethical practice that is already banned in several US states, but not in PA. Without your transcript you can't apply to other schools, or some jobs. I guarantee you there are better options than this school. In Lancaster alone, Millersville costs about the same and is far better."
"I need a certificate of plumbing I have 16 years experience in this job but I worked in Afghanistan now I want to study in HACC Center for a certificate. Thank you. Sincerely."
