"Dr Eng is great. She found me a wonderful chiropractor."
"I have been a long time patient of Dr. Eng's for many years. She always makes me feel comfortable and takes the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns. During a routine annual exam, she felt a small mass in my breast. Though my mammogram came back negative, Dr. Eng insisted that I get an ultrasound anyway. I went thinking it would be nothing since I have always been in perfect health. It turned out to be cancer, and was caught early enough to have just a lumpectomy and avoid needing chemo. I know without a doubt that her experience, intuition, and true caring for her patients saved my life, and I am forever grateful. Many doctors would have just went with the mammo results and said I was fine. If you want a doctor who truly cares about you, go to Dr. Eng. She is the best. I have also referred my friends to her and every friend who went to Dr. Eng loved her and became a regular patient. Some people have complained that the staff was rude. This is not the case! Most of her staff are bilingual, as she serves the Chinese community because they feel more comfortable with people who speak their native language. Their demeanor might not be the same as most Americans, but they are not rude. Try being kinder to them and they will respond with the same. I have personally witnessed many patients who are (ironically) so impatient that they become rude to the staff, who are trying their best to help them. Unfortunately these are the people who post the negative reviews, which is not at all an accurate reflection of the medical care you will receive, which should be your number one priority. I have also met very nice people in the waiting room who like me, agreed they wouldn't go to anyone else but Dr. Eng. When you are the patient with the scary diagnosis, you will want someone like Dr. Eng to take the time to explain everything to you and reassure you that things will be ok. If I have to wait longer than I expected, I'm fine with that, because I know Dr. Eng truly cares about all of her patients. And that makes it well worth the wait."
"Best Dr ever ive been using her for 20 years"
"Showed 5 minutes late and they kicked me out. I understand you can't be late but trains were crazy and I came here because I felt something was wrong. Please don't deny your patients"
"Terrible experience; I was not willing to blindly follow their orders (I always ask "why", they didn't like that) so they kicked me out at 28 weeks pregnant. If you live in NYC, then you know that it is quite literally impossible to find an OB/Gyn who will take you as a patient after the 20 week mark. They endangered my health and the health of the unborn baby because they did not want to deal a patient who wanted to know the reasons behind their unreasonable demands and policies. I ended up having to receive the rest of my prenatal care at a Long Island practice; out of the 47 doctors I contacted in Manhattan and Brooklyn, exactly zero would accept a patient past 20 weeks (I didn't even have a chance to be a difficult patient with them!) They left me with no medical care options (under an hour away) during my final trimester, they pulled out nearly every bully-technique in their arsenal to get me to do what they wanted, including telling me "you are literally killing your baby if you..." don't do what we want. (Spoiler alert, my baby is fine and they were just using terror-tactic hyperbole). I know that bullying is the standard go-to for NYC docs, but these folks *really* took it up a notch. Definitely do not go here unless you are happy blindly following any and all doctors orders (even when they cite studies incorrectly, provide out of date medical community recommendations, or flat out inaccurate statistics). Oh, they also flip out if you won't see their recommended specialist(s) and instead want to use your own. This is the same review that I left for the office's Bay Ridge location, as it was a practice-wide experience. I never actually met Dr. Eng, but was told she was the one who decided to kick me out of the practice in my third trimester. Additionally at the 59th Street location, you have to suffer a miserable waiting room and an apparently first-come-first-served policy, regardless of when appointments are scheduled. The 59th St location feels completely out of date and quite dirty."
