"Terrifying experience. Picture getting an operation you knew nothing about, gushing blood and sobbing on a table from pain and confusion and being made fun of by an incredibly creepy man who says "cave women didn't have pain medicine so why should you?" This was medical abuse. No informed consent, no respect for a patient's body, extreme pain without warning, and, in a parody of malpractice, a doctor who opened the door DURING a procedure and shouted "somebody help me get this cervical sample into a cup!" Goncharov should not be a doctor."

"Update: went back to a different doc, and this time 10/10!! No complaints, very friendly. Loved the practice, I found everyone besides Dr. Goncharov (senior) to be really kind and helpful. Plus it was clean and had beautiful artwork. However, Dr. Goncharov tried to pressure me to change from my IUD to a different brand IUD. After I said no twice he said to me, "Well I guess you just want to suffer." He also told me a sonogram was necessary to ensure my IUD is placed correctly (which is not true). I'm a nurse and declined the sonogram, but I can't in good conscious recommend anyone else see him who isn't a medical professional used to advocating. I absolutely recommend the practice, and I suspect the younger Dr. Goncharov is excellent, but the elder is not, and I encourage others to avoid him."

"Review is specifically for GYN Dimitry Goncharov. One and only visit to the office. Conversation with MD lasted 10min tops. Preliminary check-up. Did testing, which was completely uncalled for and unnecessary inside his Manhattan office, but the MD kept insisting. Red flag by the way. His office bills my insurance for over 2,000$. Are you kidding me!???????????? Greedy is an understatement!!!!"
