"zero stars. I am a physician. I have had the unfortunate experience of trying to get a very appropriate and procedure authorized for a patient. FIDELIS Careless does nothing but obstruct and delay. It is common for physicians these days to have to appeal for auth. No other provider makes the process as difficult and obstructive. I strongly URGE anyone looking for a provider to look at ANY other option than Fidelis. I have filed fraud complaints with NYS dept of health."

"I could write a five page essay about what a horrible experience I have had with Fidels Care and with New York State of Heath. I have made countless phone calls, wasted hours upon hours being passed back and forth between customer service departments and getting no where. I was overcharged hundreds of dollars, it was taken out of bank account with no letter in the mail stating they were going to do so or any type of bill/statement. I ended up having to file an appeal with the company which was a whole other process. Luckily I won the part of the appeal! But three months later I am still calling Fidels over and over again trying to get the refund I was awarded. I wish my experiences upon no one. Take your time and call around to find a better insurance company!"
