"Socialize medicine tomorrow. What are you guys doing? We pay full price (and it's a lot) for healthcare. We're lucky enough to be able to do that. We don't miss payments, we don't complain. I understand health care is expensive. Do better Excellus. It's been 15 years of this. Our credit card was hacked in December and we forgot to reconnect the new one to Excellus and instead of a "hey you guys missed the payment" which we would have jumped on.... POLICY Cancelled. Have any issue, spend a full day trying to speak with customer service... get 5 different answers from 4 different people while you are trying to work, raise kids and deal with life. If the CEO makes more than minimum wage, it is gross. Run your company better. The company is a joke. The system is a joke."
"Negative Stars! Excellus doesn't care about people, they denied critical medical treatment."
"Pathetic money hungry insurance company. If you’re reading this, don’t get this insurance."
"Insurance companies are for profit the only way to make money off of the sick, elderly, dying, disabled, poor, children and all other vulnerable people is to deny them service that's the only way an insurance company can make money - to avoid paying. their use of the term customer service advocate is a mind phuk. an advocate works on the behalf of a vulnerable person to ensure that they get what they need. an insurance company can only make money by denying what is needed. their insurance tiered system demonstrates their lack of advocacy. the automated computerized voice system that greets you before the human representative demonstrates their lack of actual interest in humans. And before common decent greetings when you do get a human representative, you must first cite your member number name and birthdate. Remember we are now engaged in medical care that is referred to as the healthcare industry which is no longer focused on medical arts. something to think about"
"Wanted to drop supplemental dental insurance. Sent the appropriate forms for both myself and my wife; two separate envelopes, and after 6 weeks of not hearing from them I called and was told they never received the forms. I resent, and this time sent by registered mail, and this time they got them, but I had to pay for the additional dental insurance for two months longer than I wanted to. I then sent forms to have my monthly premiums withrawn from my bank account, again separate forms and envelopes for myself and my wife. After three months of not hearing anything I called customer service. Again, they claim they did not get the letters. That's FOUR letters they claim they did not receive. The customer service reps even double checked the address I sent the letters to and they confirmed they were correct. I believe they got my letters and they are either sitting on someone's desk, mismanaged in their mailroom, or something worse. Regardless, I will be dropping Excellus at the next open enrollment. Their systems for making any changes to your insurance are antiquated, having to make changes by mail instead of electronically. That wouldn't be so bad if you could trust them to accept and process hardcopy forms...but you can't."
