"Routine coverage (CHP) for my daughters has been great. The problem comes when you want to cancel coverage. While Fidelis has no problem accepting your monthly payment, they seem to have a great deal of trouble letting go of said payments. I called in June to cancel coverage for my girls since my older one was turning 19 and would no longer be covered after June 30. Because my husband was able to secure family coverage through his work (which was previously unavailable to us), I called Fidelis to cancel coverage for our 16 year old as well. One employee told me that was fine, I didn't need to do anything else. Great! That was easy...until it wasn't. We keep getting bills and have spoken with at least 5 different people who each tell us something different. They insist we must pay for July and August because we didn't cancel until June. Paying for insurance we're not even using? Good luck finding that information on the Fidelis website. What a ripoff."
"I am missing my second apointment this week and third appointment in 2 weeks. Despite this, my only medical transport option is Buffalo Transport, despite there being other transport options in the area. When money is more important than quality, your business suffers. It's too bad no one at this company will pick quality service for their patients. And that shows by the poor reviews you have. I am grateful they approved my surgery, but they have caused so many more issues for me."
"The worst plan you will ever have. They will deny every claim you and your doctor file for, they will not cover the medication for chronic disease that you have been on for years, they make a bunch of excuse every time your doctor prescribe something for you, like they will tell you “we cannot cover you for the “x” medication until you try “y” for 6 months, then after six months they will tell we will not cover u for “x” because you have not tried medication “z” even though you have been taking medication “z” and “y” for years every day, and if you confront with the facts that you have been on “y” and “z” for 6 months and that you have been takin “z” for ever but it is not working, they will tell you “but your doctor is not making a log of the medication you have been on”, even though they should know cause they have access to all the medication data in your healthcare profile, and that you have been picking up your medication from the pharmacy on your insurance card on a timely basis ... Do not enroll, this is a scam, they only want the premium. I am editing this 3 days after I got a reply from the owner of Fidelis asking to contact him with a preferred contact, which I already did but I was never contacted, so this edit is just to let everybody know that the owner will reply to your review just to look professional in public on Google, but he will never ever contact you, he is a professional liar, that is all."
"In my opinion this is the worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with. They made me jump through hoops for four months trying to get a medication that I have taken in the past and that I 100 percent knows work for me. I had to call back in forth between two different doctors, the insurance company, and the pharmacy for all four of those months just so they could repeatedly deny my script over and over again. They still deny me and now I am canceling my service with them and will make sure everyone knows how terrible this company is. They also made me get authorization for absolutely every single procedure I ever had to have done. In my opinion stay as far away for this company as you can. ,"
"Beware of this insurance company. I have never experienced this level of frustration when dealing with any other insurance company. I have been trying to get a large bill resolved since January 2018. I have spoken to 10 representatives and had to go into enormous detail re explaining the situation over and over again. I have been sent letters in error, told that my documentation emails ( requested by Fidelis) never reached Fidelis thereby having to resend them waisting precious time. I had representatives tell me that they would forward my claim to the correct department while marking it urgent only to find out that it was never forwarded to the correct department. Representatives who promised to call back with the status of my account never did. The member is placed in the middle between the provider of the medical service and Fidelis. I have had to put an enormous amount of time and energy into a situation that is between the provider and Fidelis. The representatives clearly don’t know what they are doing since every time I call they put me on a lengthy hold to go over the details with a supervisor. The provider of the medical service sent the bill over to a collection agency which is something that Fidelis assured me would not happen since Fidelis said The bill would be rectified by then. Eight months later, I’m still on the phone getting the run around from Fidelis! Choose another company. They don’t care about their members and you are left fighting for yourself!"
