"We haven’t experienced any of the therapists in this practice but Renee who runs the teen art therapy group, but we love Renee and the group. She’s laid back and non-directive and it’s a great counter point to more structured kinds of therapy for teens. The casual art vibe of the office is warm and inviting. Nice change from other places. The practice admin Courtney is great too and really helpful. Overall I would recommend and so does my teen."
"We love art therapy! After numerous failed attempts at traditional and behavioral therapies over the span of many years we were feeling quite defeated. Our daughter would shut down and not engage with her therapists because she felt uncomfortable in the talk based setting. Shannon was recommended to us by a friend so we thought we would give it a try. We have been so pleased with how our daughter has not only engaged, but gets excited to go to therapy. We have been seeing Shannon for over a year and it's by far the longest we have stayed with one therapist. It's so important to make sure she has a continual outlet with a trusted person for her mental health needs. As a parent I appreciate the transparency and great communication I have with Shannon in regards to my daughters needs. I felt with other therapists that I didn't know if any progress was being made and was in the dark about her care. Art is such an amazing way to communicate and express feelings and I am so glad we have found Shannon and art therapy!"
"I started therapy with this group about a year ago and art has helped in ways I didn't know that it could, and to be honest I didn't know I was capable of. Art therapy has given me another tool to calm my anxiety and help me process emotions/problems and I would highly recommend for others to try. Not only is the art a coping tool, but I've been extremely fortunate to find a therapist that truly makes it a safe place and has helped me process so much that has held me back."
