"On Wednesday, July 5th, I had an appointment to see “Elaine” as a follow up to a procedure 3 months earlier. My appointment was for 11:15 AM. I arrived about 10 minutes earlier. At about 11:50, I still had not been asked inside for blood pressure, weight measurement etc. I asked the man next to me in the waiting room if his appointment was after mine. He responded that, yes, his was at 11:30. The woman who calls people through the door into the inner office to take that blood pressure and weight etc opened the door to call this man in though his appointment was scheduled after mine. There had been NO ONE at the window for several minutes so I could not approach the window and address my concerns that perhaps my folder or whatever got overlooked (it’s happened before but not here). Since this man’s scheduled appointment was after mine, I approached the door and POLITELY started to ask her if my name was on her roster. Before I could finish my sentence she rudely and in a pedantic angry manner insulted me in front of everyone by stating that she was busy and doing something else. She then came to the window when she was done and continued with her tirade after I expressed the concern that she had embarrassed me with her lack of tact, to put it mildly. She just could have politely stated that this man was seeing a different provider and that she had to deal with the gentleman and would get back to me ASAP. She continued to insult me, and yelled that I had interrupted her indicating that I had no right to ask her a question. I then stated that, no, she had rudely interrupted me in the middle of a sentence. When it became 12 noon, 45 MINUTES PAST MY APPOINTMENT TIME, I was not going to the window and wait several minutes until someone arrived there to reschedule and risk interacting with this self absorbed, haughty and insulting woman who clearly should not be working with people especially those who do not feel well. So, since I had another doctor’s appointment in an hour and refused to be insulted and made a fool of further, I left I truly hope that effort is taken to reschool this woman in the proper treatment of patients. I am truly grateful to deal with Dr Dias-Ordaz as he is an experienced, knowledgable, thorough and compassionate human being. I was extremely upset when I left and hope I never have to encounter her again. She is a horrible representative of your practice and truly owes me an apology. I wrote a letter to the practice expressing the afore mentioned and received a letter back stating that because of MY treatment of the staff, they would not longer treat me! Unbelieveable!"
"Day of my son's colonoscopy he had to sit in waiting room for 3 hours before surgery. Was told he needed colonoscopy due to health concerns and received numerous bills(over $3,000 so far) couple are for same description from different companies. Billing is no help at all! I would never recommend this facility to anyone!"
"I had 3 days meds left. I started calling for my refill, a week ago..I was reprimanded by a young man for calling too much! I did all the calls to my pharmacy, insurance..ect. Doing his job... The doctors are fine.. Some of the office staff should go."
"Terrible people working there. I can't believe Dr Ortiz allows these people to work for him. He is a good doctor who has done my colonoscopy a few times. His employees are rude and inconsiderate. Heather the PA sent me for a ct scan of my abdomen because I was having pain on my upper right side she called me and said I had a ventral hernia and to go see a surgeon. That was it. I went to see a surgeon and he told me I dont have a ventral hernia no hernia on that side at all .I called the office to talk to her and they said she was busy I told them what the surgeon said and they told me to get a letter from surgeon. Heather never called me back and they sent me a letter that they were dropping me as a patient . She misdiagnosed me never called me back and they are dropping me.She needs to check herself and try to be more friendly and compassionate and act like she cares. She acts like she hates what she is doing shame on them"
"I’ve been here a number of times with no problem. But when I saw some of the reviews here I was leery. I just had my colonoscopy yesterday and was happily surprised at how wonderful everyone was. I had a terrible headache and two different times a staff offered me an ice pack. Everyone was nice and helpful. The doctor and all the staff make my experience great. I was so impressed I am sending them a thank you card."
