"Another great appointment with Dr Alenchery at Foot and Ankle Specialists of New York. Great staff, easy parking and pretty quick in and out. Doc always takes the time to answer questions. We travel 2 hours to get here because the care is exceptional. 12/4/23 An urgent visit today as I emailed on Sunday thinking I needed to be seen. I was immediately put into the schedule. Dr. Alencherry and the entire staff are just amazing and so professional and polite. I wish all my doctors and offices were like this one."

"I regret to report an abysmal experience with the reception staff at this establishment. The reception staff proved to be disorganized, unprofessional, and unhelpful. Initially, I had been informed that my insurance would be accepted. To ensure a smooth and efficient visit, I took the precaution of confirming and re-confirming that their office indeed accepted my insurance before embarking on a 2-hour trip to this office. However, at check-in, I was informed that my insurance was not accepted by the facility. Moreover, the receptionist who was also acting as the office manager failed to take responsibility for the error and was not forthcoming about her role in the office and in this process. During this interaction, the receptionist was present, engaging in unprofessional behavior by consuming starbursts while answering phone calls. She interrupted our conversation, contributing to the overall professionalism of the encounter with the "office manager." In addition to the insurance issue, several other concerns arose during my visit. There was a distinct lack of clarity regarding who had initially assured me of insurance acceptance. Furthermore, there were assertions made about the size of the medical group, which raised questions about the organization of the practice. To add to the confusion, it was mentioned in a boasting manner that my case was inconsequential compared to other potential patients who had traveled from California, and they had already been turned away due to the office's lack of knowledge regarding insurance. Regrettably, my experience at this office was deplorable as I was not provided with any meaningful assistance or medical attention. It is my belief that a fundamental reorganization of the reception staff is in order to rectify these issues and enhance the overall experience for patients. They were rude, offered no solutions, and were dismissive. Overall, a lack of empathy, time, or care for those in need of medical attention was their primary office culture. Additionally, the doctor they had paired me with while making the initial consultation was leaving the practice in a week's time, due to undisclosed matters."

"The staff is very friendly and Dr. Alencherry has a terrific bedside manner. He is patient and takes his time to explain your X-rays, alternative treatments and outcomes. I would highly recommend this practice but especially Dr. Alencherry."
