"I've been trying to get help from this organization, but every social worker assigned to me leaves after doing nothing for me. now I have a new one named Esther, but I feel like I'm alone and have zero social worker. she doesn't seem to really know enough to be a good worker, and she's too "meh" when it comes to helping me - too reactive and submissive. I'm in danger of going back into the shelter system and I have to deal with an abusive homeowner, who gaslights me over any mistake she thinks I do; rubs it in my face every consequence that I'm facing because of any mistake i may do ; and seems to really get pleasure out of every "lesson". I had Esther be in contact with her, because I thought it'd be helpful - but that may have been a mistake, because now Esther has started telling me how something is my fault and she's now trying to convince me to go back into shelter, just like the homeowner. I have clinical depression and anxiety disorder, I'm also taking T and I l'm starting to think this organization is discriminating against me for being in the LGBTQ+ community. Not everything is my fault! Those who are supposed to be there to help you and don't, it's their fault. See what the blaming-game comes to? How does BLAMING ME HELP ME AT ALL? it's possible to do everything "right" and still struggle to stay afloat while spiraling down further into poverty. My good friend who was a client in the same shelter as me last time, is better help: she stands up for me and advocates for me, while doing it for free. Catholic Charities is LGBTQ+ discriminatory.
