"While the office is very clean and staff (especially the assistant) were very professional and warm, I can’t say the same about nurse Lynn. I had been wanting to do Fraxel for sometime now but I was very reluctant because of the potential risks (post treatment), and also because I was a bit worried/scared about the actual procedure itself (the pain etc). I bought a package a while back after reading very good reviews about the practice and Nurse Lynn, which made me feel at ease. I waited two 2 hours to have the actual procedure (I was told this may be possible, but 2 hours would be for the total time there, not just waiting) and when she did enter the room she did not introduce herself (or even politely say good morning for that matter) or even take 2 minutes to go over the procedure, do a quick assessment, or even discuss with me my main concerns (at all). I never had a consult with the office, all I had previously sent were some photos which I do not think are enough in terms of assessment. She barely said a word and just said to use the balm/elixir/sunscreen after the treatment. I can honestly say that I did not feel too comfortable about the overall experience because of all of this. Especially because I was already nervous about the procedure. I do understand it’s a busy practice but I still don’t think it should be an excuse to not take a minute or two to talk to your patients and discuss concerns/procedure/assess etc. As an RN myself, I do think it’s extremely important to make patients feel comfortable, and it really makes for a much better experience. Luckily, the assistant did do a great job at explaining the basics to me and helping me to feel more at ease. However, because of the previous great reviews, I am hopeful I will have a great outcome from the treatment, and will update then."
