"I think it's appalling to start off an obgyn appointment asking a client how many abortions they've had. I have an 18 yr old son and had 2 abortions when he was THREE yrs old. Why do I get the judgmental tone when I refuse contraceptives or the flippant comment, "it's your life!!". These are supposed to be medical "professionals" and women, to boot. I will be very happy when I move from this area as there are an abundance of medical offices elsewhere where it's not like pulling teeth to get a decent person on the phone or a call back or adequate care in an appointment. Appalling and demoralizing. Shame on you."
"Piss Poor Urgent Care. Waited 20+ minutes after showing up 1 minute late to my appointment. I was swabbed to be tested for the three major infections going around, they didn’t even check my nose/mouth/ears to see if any other issues were going on. I then get told after 10 minutes of seeing a doctor “we cannot give you a doctor’s note. You can look on your patient portal” or something along those lines. For 10 minutes in Urgent Care it was piss poor. Unfair treatment at this place since Optum took over. Gave me a cough suppressant, that doesn’t even work. Better off taking over the counter Severe Cold and Flu Meds from the store."
"Optum has taken the process of communicating with health care providers and thrown as many roadblocks, complications and dead ends in as possible. Simply trying to schedule a pediatric visit for a sick child requires at least 45 spare minutes to chase down the correct phone number, go through the whole directory and then get sent to a voicemail and wait for a return call. Beyond frustrating, so unfriendly to existing patients, totally discouraging to new patients."
"Since Optum has taken over the services have all gone downhill. I was billed for an appointment that THEY cancelled day of, and all attempts to reach them to correct it did not work (phone calls, emails, patient portal). Finally I got a notice it was going to collections so I just paid it rather than dealing with that, even though I never received the service. When I finally got my appointment (originally scheduled for June, finally happened October 31st) it was determined I needed a follow up after some tests were done. It's now been over a month and I have not received test results. I have called 4 times, sent messages via patient portal, done everything I can. All I have gotten was my bill! I cannot schedule my follow up until I know the results, why is it so difficult for them to relay information?Absolutely ridiculous. My Dr is amazing, but I will be ending all services with them and look elsewhere. The level of care since Optum took over has just made it impossible to continue with them."
"If I could give it zero or negative stars, I would. Since optum has taken over the customer service is gone! Horrible phone etiquette by anyone that schedules appointments or takes messages. The one girl literally was yawning in my ear as she was answering. You could tell she was working from home and still in bed. Her attitude was horrible! Clearly miserable and should find another job. But that's all the phone people I've spoken too so maybe train on what customer service is. You sit on hold for 15 min to sometimes an hour just trying to talk to someone. Messages are not getting to the doctors in a timely manner like they used to before optum took over. Optum makes it very clear they dont care about the patients, only the money. Give Tina her private line back so we can get directly to the office instead of having to wait and talk to rude people that have NO customer service skills! (I've worked in medical for 15 years, I know and understand how it works. Get rid of optum!)"
