"Feels great to be able to call the office and not listen to 10 min of automated prompts before talking to the staff. They pick up right away and are always very friendly. Wonderful staff and wonderful office."
"Dr. Garg is polite, pleasant and effective. I'm an active 65 year old and Dr. Garg and staff accurately diagnoses my health issues and enable me to quickly return to physical activity."
"Excellent care. All questions answered. Very happy with the care I have received here."
"Ignore the poor ratings. Dr. Garg has been our physician since 2000. We have always found him and his staff efficient, very competent, caring and totally concerned with helping us maintain a healthy lifestyle. On the occasions that we've needed quick service (sudden illness accident) the practice has always found a way to fit us in, either with Dr. Garg or the Nurse Practitioner. I have several complex health issues and he is always ready to consider various approaches. Hint: When you visit your doctor always write down you symptoms, questions and concerns ahead of time. That way you and he will be sure to cover all of the bases."
"I came to Brockport Internal Medicine because my primary-care physician of 10 years retired and this office was nearby -- a terrible mistake. The medical providers here are, in my opinion, woefully incompetent and callously indifferent to patients. The details and general rationale on which my rating and assessment are based follows: After being seen numerous times and undergoing several examinations related to a serious motor-vehicle accident (documented and records transferred from Strong ICU), Dr. Garg and the nurse-practitioner referred me for a surgical consult. Surgery was recommended; after weighing the possible risks vs. the potential benefits of surgery, I elected to wait before committing to it. Several days after my surgical consult, where a physical examination was performed, I returned to Garg's office for the follow-up and the nurse practitioner refuses to complete my medical insurance form to document the nature of my medical condition. I needed this form for my insurance provider and was told by Dr. Garg that it would be completed after my surgery consultation (an odd pre-condition I initially thought, but I complied, thinking perhaps the opinion of a surgical specialist would provide whatever additional information he needed to fill out the medical form). Did not happen. A week after the surgery consult I return to Garg's office and still these people insist on performing yet another physical and refuse to complete the medical form -- now they state the form would only be completed if I undergo surgery (is that even legal?). At that point I was at a complete loss for words; I went to the surgery consult, the surgeon reiterated my diagnosis and sent his notes, I had another corroborating MRI, and now they are compelling me to get surgery by jeopardizing my future insurance coverage. I abruptly left and that was the last time I ever saw these people. To top it off, they included a note in my medical files of how uncooperative I was at this appointment -- I can only hope the sole instance of such a note in all the years of my medical history serves to raise questions about their conduct, not mine. They had my MRI results, my medical records, and yet they treated me as though they perceived my as a malingerer -- a "malingerer" who spent two weeks on a respirator in Strong's burn/trauma ICU. How one can be a malingerer and require surgery for the condition they are presumably faking is beyond me. My experience with Dr. Garg and his staff was like an absurd comedy of errors minus the humor."
