"Ever wonder why the other Urgent Cares are so crowded along Transit Rd and why no one ever seems to be at Focus? Rude nurses, nasty providers and horrible bed side manner. I will never go to that location again. It was so much better as Immediate Care, since Focus took over, a waste of space. If I could give this location zero stars I would! Let's clarify, the evening staff on Thursday, Oct 6. Felt unwelcomed , like they actually wanted us to go to WellNow?? Unbelievable . And our insurance is accepted at all, but I chose to come to Focus. Never again! Gave it a second chance, why, because there parking lot was empty. Now I know why. I come in with the same symptoms as last time, a year ago. The provider had NO CLUE!!!!!! If he would take the time to look back and see the treatment I had, he would have ordered the same. BUT NO!!!!!! A very uneducated RN answers the call and tries to tell me that APAP is an anti-inflammatory. Now I know it's been awhile but I always gave Tylenol to my baby when he had a fever, No where did I ever see that Tylenol is an NSAID. And the provider trying to tell me that Flexeril is only used for spasms. OK musculoskeletal pain is also included. So I go to be treated, get a pain shot and was sent on my way. No paperwork, no follow up instructions, just out the door. The Nurse and Providers bedside manner is HORRIFIC, and I do feel sorry for anyone that does go there to be treated. I am reporting this incident to my insurance company. Nor did I get properly treated, YOU SHOULD NOT GET PROPERLY PAID!!!!!!!!!"
"Terrible! The receptionist was a doll, and the nurses were very nice. The doctor was bizarre and unprofessional. The first thing he did upon entering the room was asking me why i didn't go to my primary. Then he kept complaining about how people go there instead of the primary doctors. I asked for a covid test, and he would not test me. He said that it wasn't a thing anymore and that they get boxes of 100s of tests that are all positive. I get frequent bronchitis/ sinus infections. This doctor acted like he was grossed out by my post nasal drip. He literally shuttered at the look at it and then didn't prescribe me antibiotics... Which I got from my primary the next day. This focus doctor wanted me to wait 6 WEEKS before addressing that sickness again!"
"This location does not prioritize your health. I went in on Friday for an eye infection, the provider took a whole 2 seconds to decide it was unserious. The only instruction he gave was to keep it clean - in a very condescending tone. The infection did not resolve after only cleaning. I had to go to a different immediate care facility a few days later to be told it was a very serious infection and was given antibiotics and steroids. Do not come here if you value your time and health, as they do not."
"Came in on a Sunday night after testing positive for COVID at home. Wasn’t horribly sick but told by my boss to bring in a note from any urgent care stating the above. The generic, “can return to work on X date” note. No problem, shouldn’t be a big hassle? So I check in with the front desk lady, who was very kind and helpful. Taken back to a room very quickly. All seems well so far. Told by PA “I don’t write work notes”. Why would one work at an urgent care then, where the majority of patients are likely looking for work excuses? Instead I was given a face sheet containing all of my PHI to give to my boss. This is unacceptable. Will likely brave the wait at WellNow instead of coming here in the future."
"I’ve told my husband to only bring me here if I need urgent care. I’m always checked in quickly, professionally. The PAs here have always been the best in my book. I have a primary, but sometimes she’s out of town etc. I would honestly consider using the PAs I’ve had here as primaries. I’ve always been highly impressed. Grateful for the professional, friendly service when I’m not well."
