"Bottom Line. I had autoimmune hepatitis. A disease that is life threatening. A doctor at St. Joe's hospital put me on harsh steroids that made me very ill. I told him I'm not taking steroids anymore so he literally threw me out of his office and told me I was going to die in one year. I was horrified and very much afraid of my future at 59 years old. A nurse told me about Dr. Diaz-Ordaz & Elaine (Nurse Practitioner). I asked them if they would take me on as a patient and explained my history. They did. I am thankful to God and this practice for my on-going treatment. They were wonderful! I owe them my life. I am now 71 years old and have recently been diagnosed FREE from this dreadful disease. I no longer reside in Buffalo but I will never forget Dr. Diaz-Ordaz or Elaine for taking me in as a patient and treating my ailment. As for their staff, I do agree they need some customer service classes. They can be curt and dismissive. I'm sure with all these comments they will rectify this issue. When people are ill they look for compassion and kindness."

"As others have said, Elaine is great but I can no longer deal with the office staff. I understand if they are overworked and have too many patients to keep track, but this practice should make the decision to stop accepting new patients if they cannot provide decent care to existing patients. Twice now I have had interruptions to my medication cycle (that I have been taking for 10 years) and gotten very sick because their staff cannot keep up with the insurance authorizations. On one occasion they had taken a month to renew an authorization, but blamed the insurance even though the insurance company's turnaround was only 2 days out of that month. This left me without medication for two weeks as their deadline came and went. Absolute terrible way to treat a patient who is calling begging for their medicine twice a day and they can't be bothered to check their fax queue. Absolutely disgusted with them as a whole."
