"Had to go in to get my eyes checked just in case because of a previous condition. Doctor was amazing. Very thoughtful, was very clear and concise, she made sure I understood what was happening at all times which I appreciate a lot. Overall a great experience. It felt more like a 20 minute trip rather than an hour checkup."
"Dr. cassata and office have been wonderful in treating my son. She is amazing with children and very patient. I feel like she’s very thorough."
"The prescription I received was likely faulty. The lenses made from it were worse than my very old prescription. When I contacted Grand Island Optical, the receptionist told me that I would need to pay a co-pay for a new examination, because my prescription came from an exam that was almost two years old. The optometrist where my glasses were made examined the new lenses, compared them to my old lenses, and checked my eyes with diopters. Get another examination he said. The prescription isn’t right. I plan to, but not to someone who did the exam in the first place and now wants to charge for a new examination. In fairness to the doctor, I didn’t talk directly with her, but neither did her staff offer to connect me so that I could express my concerns. It was pay for a second exam or too bad. Live and learn: I prefer medical practices willing to stand by their work. The faulty prescription was under two years old and the problems with the new prescription seem very unlikely to be the result of any changes in my vision. Or so the optometrist said. I have made an appointment with another practice for new eye exam. One of the questions I will ask is: Could the previous exam have possibly been correct and my vision changed? If the answer is no, I will at least have the satisfaction in knowing that I did not pay a second time to correct someone else’s error. If it is yes, I will retract this comment and apologize."
"I needed emergency eye care asap so I called Island Family Eye Care and left a message. It can be hard to find a good eye doctor in this area who genuinely cares for their patients, takes time with you, and then also accepts insurance. Adrienne checks all of those boxes! I’ve paid a lot of money at other offices just to have my needs met but Island Family Care accepts many insurances and has a wide variety of fashionable glasses too. Anyway, she called me back within minutes and met me at her office on her day off because she could tell I needed someone and also because she’s just a genuinely caring person, you’ll see that when you meet her. I’m so happy that I stumbled upon her. If you’re looking for a down to earth, knowledgeable, compassionate eye doctor, then Adrienne is the one! :)"
