"I’ve never even been to this office, but just from dealing with the office manager, I would never want to be treated by the doctor’s here. Due to a problem with the insurance company, I was mistakenly approved to have one of the MD’s be my PCP, although they are apparently not accepting new patients. I called to make an appointment, and was I informed by a kinder receptionist that I wasn’t in their system and that she was going to hand the phone call over to the office manager. Not a problem, I get that. I speak with the office manager, and it was abundantly clear that I was nothing but an annoyance to her, and that she clearly regrets her career path. She essentially blamed me for picking a PCP that wasn’t accepting new clients, which is ridiculous seeing as the insurance company is the one who said they were! She was also getting impatient since I couldn’t find my old PCP’s info, and told me rather quick and rudely to call back when I found it before hanging up. I haven’t been to a doctor in a very long time, due to a deep seated fear of anything medical. It has taken a lot of coaxing and willpower to even give them a call. Hearing this vile and rude person treat me like an inconvenience had my hands shaking afterwards. Even writing this, I feel sick to my stomach. A person who, not only sees the patients before their doctors, but oversees the entire receptionist staff should not be cold and rude. You should feel welcomed and that the space you are going to is one where the people caring for you do just that. Care. I’ve already put in a request for a different PCP at a different office, and now have to work up the courage and hope they even pretend to be friendly."

"Avoid this practice if at all possible. In the 10+ years that I have been a patient I have experienced nothing but poor service. Receptionists on the phone (if you are fortunate enough to reach a real person) have been not-only unhelpful but straight-up rude, and even at routine appointments in the office I have often been “forgotten” and left sitting in an empty room (twice with a crying infant) until I went back to the nurses desk to check-in after waiting for 30-45 minutes each time. It is a shame that there aren’t other family healthcare providers in the area because I would switch immediately if possible."

"Called here recently.Phone rang many times , when finally answered I asked if someone could look in my eye, I had a piece of metal shaving in it.Was put on hold - until it started ringing and answered second time. Put on hold a second time- waited and eventually hung up while driving there. When arrived there was a casual meeting of several people in office - no acknowledgement at first. When finally acknowledged, told to sit down, short time later a Nurse came out and said there was nothing they could do. I asked that they simply look in my eye- stated I needed to go to an eye specialist and would not look. It is inconceivable that my Family Physicians office would not shine a flashlight in my eye to even look ! It should be noted that my regular physician there is awesome- but it is months wait to see him . The rest of the staff seems pretty lax the last couple of visits."

"I have been a patient since almost back to when Dr. Kolva and Dr. Morgan started the practice. All of the staff - from the providers and nurses to the office staff have always been kind, friendly and helpful. They have always truly cared about their patients. I haven’t experienced anything different since becoming part of Oswego Health."
