Reviews of Happy Dragon School
"My son attended in Dec/2023.We were pleased with the education and attention he received here! OT teacher Ms. Amalia was an amazing teacher, she took a lot of hard work and my son has made great progress and the entire staff was awesome! Here is definitely a special place for our special needs kids :)"
"Most teachers and staffs at this school are very professional and pleasant, except a few. However, the reason I gave this school 1 star in this review is because of the principal Mrs. Yao (that’s what I think her name is). She is the most unpleasant, unreasonable and mean person I’ve ever met. All she cares about is the money she can get from the parents. I think she is also the owner of the school, maybe that’s why she felt that she doesn’t have to respect the parent who sent their kids to school here. I send my 2 1/2 years old kid to this school for daycare, I started with a half day program from 9am – 12pm for him to get use to the teacher and the classroom environment. For the first few days, my son cries so hard that it broke my heart to send him there. But still it’s for his own goods that he get used to being going to school and meet and play with other kids. Around the 5th day of my son going to this school. I decided to go in a little early (around 11:30) to see how’s he doing. I peek into the classroom and saw that he was participating in the class activities and sat down eating lunch with other children. I was so happy to see his progress, so I decided to sit in the lobby to wait until 12pm to pick up my son and let him spend some more time to get used to the teacher and being around other children. However, around 11:45am when the principle came out from her office and saw me sitting in the lobby. She rudely ask me why I’m sitting here and not picking up my son. I told her the reason, but then she said that I have to pick up my son since I only paid for half a day, and my son is not allow to have lunch since I didn’t pay for that either. I told her that I still have 15 min left and I will pay for the lunch that he is having since I just want him to spend more time with the teacher and his classmate. She didn’t care, and she said that if I want him to stay, I have to pay for the full day program. Otherwise, my 2 ½ years old son is disrupting and causing extra burden to the teacher and his classmate. Currently, I have no choice but to keep my son in this school since I will start to work next week and I don’t want my son to go thru a whole episode of getting used to another school. So if you have a choice, don’t go to this school. There are many better school out there with a principal that care about your children more than the money he/she will get from you. If you really want to apply for this school, I suggest you meet with the principal first and you will experience her before and after attitude once you apply your children to this school. Also, I think their play space in the cellar is illegal, since there is no emergency exit from where they play."
"My son went to Happy Dragon School for two years when he was 2 and half years old. He learned so much at the school and he is always happy to go to the school. The teachers are very nice and patient. The school has American teacher, Chinese teacher and Spanish teacher so the kids can learn and master different languages at the same time. The school build very good English skill foundation for my son. We felt sad that we had to move to other place otherwise I would like to let my son go there with their prek program, too. If you want the kids to learn and feel learning is fun, this is perfect school to go!!!"
