"Very nice experience and good history of science."
"Students had a great time. They completed the bacterial transformation lab. Ms. Johnson was out instructor and she was great."
"Last year I used a Saturday afternoon to book a 45 minute lecture on Otzi the bronze age man found in the Italian Alps several years ago. The reproduction on display, a 360° view, is the only computer generated facsimile authorized by the museum housing the original. It appears in full detail identical to the original. All the artifacts found with him are also exactly recreated, to include his arrows and their quiver. His pouch containing various seeds and herbal medications, and the distinct small tatoos on various parts of his body are also discussed. Otzi was named for the mountain range where he was found, and he was better preserved by nature than the pharaohs of Egypt. The docent was very well informed and easy to understand. Otzi's autopsy, done in Italy over a period of just 16 hours, before he was re-frozen, revealed several interesting details both medically and as to his activity in the days leading up to his eventual demise. It's very interactive with questions coming from the 10 year olds most inciteful. A must see visit for inquisitive youngsters and adults. Visit the site to book the Otzi lecture, there is a reasonable small fee. Parking available but not plentiful, you can park on the street. Meals are available up the road a short walk in pleasant Cold Spring Harbor eateries."
"I went their for a school trip Stem Academy @ Bartlett which is a middle school for a week and the staff were fun, amazing and helpful during our labs and they were really smart and educated. The labs were amazing and everything their. What's cool is we basically took the footsteps of famous scientists their because were young learners and this can help build year's on from now. It was a great experience. Thanks so much to Kyle and Erin for the help and help. When we messed up or didn't understand anything they would help us. This was April 2-6. Thx for the great experience. I love this place and can't wait to go their again."
