"This school is the most improved school in Yonkers. In my five years of being part of this school, 3years as a student and 2 years as a T.A. The school has literally gone from being one of the worst to being one of the best in the school district. This change came from the adjustment of the staff in the school especially the Principals and assistants. Mr. DeChent and his administration sees to it that each student follows suit and creates a perfect atmosphere for learning and innovation as well as upholding the school spirit!!"

"We have been in the Parochial school system and the Public school system. We have never been happier than we have been this year at Roosevelt High school. I had my doubts about this school because of its past reputation. This is not the old Roosevelt High. This is now a college Prep school. I Haven't met any one at this school who isn't willing to help, no matter what the situation. The teachers know my son (9th grade) they are interested in him and in his future. They want him to succeed and be the best he can be. They motivate him and best of all, he feels that he is part of something, a community. He has never liked school, and prior to going to Roosevelt, every morning was met with arguments and stress. Now my Son gets up on his own, he gets a himself ready and to the bus 10 mins. before he needs to be. He comes home at the end of the day happy and feeling good. I am a fan!!!"

"The school is a mock they have no control of any students and when a parent shows up regarding a concern or to be proactive on a negative situation they have no time... The students are just a number!"
