Sisters of St Francis School

The Sisters of St Francis School is located at 4421 Lower River Road in Stella Niagara, New York, United States. The institution is part of the international congregation founded in 1835 in the Netherlands by Mother Magdalen Damen. The Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity, Holy Name Province, has its motherhouse at Stella Niagara, New York.

The institution has been serving the community for over 150 years, following in the footsteps of Francis of Assisi and Magdalen Damen by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ with gentle courtesy towards all creation. The Sisters are committed to human rights, ecological harmony, and global peace, and strive to transform unjust structures and hear the cry of the poor.

The Sisters offer a variety of services in education, spirituality, and community outreach. They have served as educators in numerous schools, with two sponsored institutions being Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart and Stella Niagara Education Park. The Center of Renewal provides a peaceful environment for spiritual, educational, and physical renewal, hosting events and activities in line with the Sisters' mission.

In addition to local ministries, the Sisters are also involved in international missions in Chiapas, Mexico, and Tanzania. They continue to serve God's people in various areas of need, whether in active ministry or in prayer ministry.
