Better Farm is a unique institution located at 31060 Cottage Hill Road in Redwood, New York. It serves as an art gallery, lodging facility, and school all in one. This 65-acre sustainability education center is also an artists' colony, animal sanctuary, and solar-powered organic farm. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Adirondacks and Thousand Islands Region of Northern New York, Better Farm is dedicated to applying the "Better Theory" to all of its endeavors.

"Have stayed here so many times, it was almost a 2nd home for a while. It's a farm, an animal rescue, set and cultural center with great hosts. I have made great friends here over the years. If you visit, you will be in a quiet country environment with easy access to the giver and tourist spots."

"Very hostile environment. Details and number of guests given months in advance, overlooked apparently by owner, then was approached the night before citing details to me of conversations I was not part of for many other things and that I have to pay an additional breakfast fee though some of the group had left. Website stated check in 4-9pm, I answered a casual type inquiry email of arrival that day and advised vehicles coming around 5:30, but separately and from long drive away. Guest who arrived at 4pm treated with hostility and could not use restroom before 5:30. Asked for us to pay for campfire they enjoyed, as did other guests staying, but were tipsy so they may have forgotten. Asked us to pay $5 to use the grill, but it was not conveyed that this is for every instance of using a grill. It's a shame, looks like previous reviews were good in years past."
"Beautiful place and beautiful people! Spent a wonderful weekend on the farm and couldn't have asked for a better experience. A hidden gem that brings people together in Redwood NY. Very convenient location, close to not only the 1000 Islands region, but also several other beautiful lakes and surrounding towns. Nicole & David are super accommodating and their home is beautiful. If you're looking for a great escape with great people and food, look no further! Can't wait to visit again, thank you for everything ❤️"
