The Wolk Children's Center at the JCC, located at 1200 Edgewood Avenue in Rochester, New York, is a unique Early Childhood community that focuses on instilling important skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity in children. Our safe and nurturing environment recognizes that children learn best through play and social interaction with their peers.
Our qualified staff undergo ongoing professional development to ensure the best possible care and education for your child. We combine early education with Jewish values to help prepare children and families for the world around them. We follow the Creative Curriculum, which is aligned with the New York State Early Learning Standards to ensure that your child is ready for kindergarten.
In addition to academic learning, we provide experiences that promote social-emotional intelligence, physical development, and cognitive skills. Each day at the Center is filled with learning opportunities to encourage curiosity and stimulate key interest centers such as creative art, language and literacy, sensory and motor skills, and cognitive development.
Our before and after school program offers flexible options for kindergarten and elementary school children, with supervised classrooms, space to play, and fun activities. We are conveniently located in Brighton, close to major highways and the University of Rochester.
