"Please be aware that all reviews prior to this, I read through. I even looked on the NYS OCFS website to see all prior visits from NYS. As a teacher myself, I still gave this place the benefit of the doubt and went for a tour for my three year old. Upon attending our tour, I addressed the concerns stated in others comments and about the case they had against them with the better business bureau about this facility. The assistant director advised me that soap was in reach for children to use after using the bathroom, that water bottles remain in reach of all children at all times of the day, and that they had a daily schedule / monthly curriculum that is shared with parents that they follow on a daily basis. When it comes to payment, I was advised I would receive a monthly bill, which never happened. I took initiative to make a payment just so they didn't say I wasn't paying. Needless to say, I would give this facility a zero if possible. I have never sent my child to a place for care that was ran like this and I still to this day regret everyday I sent my child thinking she was ok. Countless days, I would pickup and she would not have her water bottle in reach (it would be up on a cubby), she would not have access to soap (it would be on top of the soap dispensers as they would not fill the actual soap dispenser), and I would send in materials needed for daily activities that would never be utilized or I would be advised they would get to it if they could. We even ran into an issue where after 8 days of pickup, asking how my child was, they advised everyday for 8 days that she had a rough day. I asked the assistant director if most children receive this daily report and she advised me yes they do. From an educator and parents perspective, that response is a reflection on the classroom teacher / aides / directors, not the children. The teachers are not the same on a daily basis, which also affects the children and parents when it comes to communication. I found out about a field trip they were going to be attending two days before, leaving no time to request off to attend, etc. I was also advised if I did not want my child to attend the field trip that I would need to find other childcare for the day, mind you this is a facility filled with all ages newborn to preschool. They had plenty of children and teachers stay behind. My child was bitten by another child during the day, and upon pickup I was verbally notified. There was no incident report written up. This is against NYS regulations. It got to the point that I was very upset with all the things happening that shouldn't be that are against code that I approached the assistant director. She advised me I was requesting unreachable requests from her and her staff. At this point, she began yelling at me. As a parent, you expect the place you send your child to be a safe and inviting place. You would never expect to be yelled at by a director, assistant or not. Overall, I would really think things through and not be so open when choosing a placement for your child. They are your pride and joy and like I stated above, I still regret to this day sending my bundle of joy here."
"Went here as a kid and now I’m 18 and grown this place gave me the best memories and I loved the staff and made real connections everyone was so caring and we all loved on another I still think of this place everyday !"
"Poor management and in-experienced staff. Has really gone downhill fast. I would not recommend sending your child here. If I could give less than 1 star I would."
"I had an interview for a teaching position almost 3 weeks ago. I really liked the atmosphere and was extremely excited to become a staff member because it seemed like a great place to work. I was told that I would be receiving a phone call that Friday about their decision. However, the phone call never came. I waited a little longer then decided to send an email about their decision because there was complete radio silence since my interview which I thought went well. I never received a reply to the email either. I feel as if they lack professionalism and reliability. As an employer, they should be following some semblance of professional standards. I wrote a review based on my experience with this company a few days ago. Then I get a phone call today from the company telling me they want to speak to me about my review. I sent an email and the representative stated that she called me that Friday and left a message which is completely untrue. I never received a phone call nor a voicemail from this company. I went as far as sending a screenshot of my phone log for that day. I asked if she called the wrong number. She would not admit to calling the wrong number. The sad part of this situation is that I actually had a great interview and would've gotten the position. But I never responded to the voicemail I never received so they thought I was no longer interested. All they had to do was call again to verify that I received the first call or answer my email. SMH...."
"I am very disappointed in this school. I pick up my child everyday. They are never in their own classrooms at pick up time. There doesn't seem to be enough staff to take care of the children in the classrooms. This is the same issue at drop off. I don't understand how the director can sit in the office day after day and get off her behind to support the excellent teachers she has. I can understand why there is such a high turn over in employment. You would think her interests would be in making sure the staff is not so overwhelmed day after day. I hear the staff talking and complaining all the time. I feel so sorry for the staff."
