"We had scheduled an appointment to renew our prescriptions for both myself and my wife. We do HRT . We were hoping to get Dr Sheer who has a much better understanding oh hormones. Unfortunately Dr Bortilo was available only. While he is a nice Dr. He doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable when it comes to Intergrative health. He should have ordered complete blood panels on both of us which is what normally done, then they can see our hormones levels and make any adjustments. That was not done. When we ask questions concerning my wife HRT therapy the Dr didn't seem to be very knowledgeable. Instead he asked my wife if she is seeing a gynecologist. She doesn't need to see one or want to see one . Gynecologist know very little about HRT or integrative health in general. That's why we are coming to you . Then he recommended a Netflix movie about veganism because we were discussing diet and he mentions that diet can help with making sex better. We were not having a problem in that department or even discussing it. Why he felt the need to bring that up I don't know. But it wasn't making my my wife very comfortable and I'm glad I was there with her. If Atrium health is going to market some of their physicians as Intergrative medicine it appears they should see that they have the training they did need to be truly Intergrative. I feel what's happening with large medical organizations which are trying to appeal to customers who want something different than primary care and are leaving primary for a more Holistic approach they are labeling Drs as Intergrative when they really don't have the experience or expertise in that field. I felt after traveling an hour for my wife's and my appointment we accomplished very little, had no question answered to our satisfaction nor were any blood panels even ordered. Dr Sheer would have done better. You are marketing Primary care as Intergrative and they are not the same. I immediately got home and started searching for a truly Intergrative Dr in our area who understands Intergrative health. And not refer my wife to a gynecologist."
