"I recently reviewed this company and gave them a 1-Star rating due to my phone call going unanswered. To be fair, I am a perfectionist and I'm impatient. I did get a phone call back a few hours later the day I left a message and deleted that review; the lady I spoke to was very polite and professional but I can’t remember her name. She explained that Charles would be coming to my house between 8am and 4pm the next day. That was a plus because normally with American Home Shield you usually wait 3-5 days for someone, which is why I called that morning to make sure the work order was in. At 7:30 am the next day, Charles called and told me he would be at my house by 8am. He arrived on time and was very polite. Within an hour my drain was unclogged. He explained at one point that I may have to call someone else out to use a jet to clear the clog because American Home Shield wouldn't cover the cost for it and that's why he didn't carry that equipment. I thought all was lost but with a determined attitude, as a last resort, he attempted to clear the clog going through the washer drainpipe instead of the kitchen drain. 10 minutes later my drain was cleared. He could have just given up and told me I’d have to call someone else, and I would have understood because he had already tried numerous techniques to clear the drain. Thanks, Charles, for a job well done!"

"The service tech was over four ours late and once he arrived was rude to my wife! To top that off, all he did for diagnosis was flush the toilet a couple times and said "Oh, it's fixed" and that's it. Glad I paid you $120 to come out bud... and I still don't have a toilet that flushes right...guess I have to pay someone else to come out and actually fix it this time"

"Speedy Plumbing LLC. This plumbing company we’re supposed to simply come out to my house to change out my Kitchen faucet that I already had a replacement for waiting to be installed. We were giving a range of 10am to 4pm to expect a professional plumber to give professional service to our kitchen faucet. Due to the range of time my fiancé had to take the whole day off of her working schedule to be home from 10am-4pm . My fiancé has her own business and clients that she service daily by appointments. So we’re at loss from the start but as homeowners with an warranty we have to keep up our living. During the day my Fiancé was assured that the plumber would be here when he was done with a job in Wilmington more than once just for 5 o’clock to come around and the plumber texted my fiancé just to tell her he actually would not be making it out to our home today. My fiancé attempted to have a conversation over the phone about the text she received when just to be sent to voicemail multiple times. So I tried calling and was straight to voicemail. I called twice before with the same result before I decided to leave a simple message explaining that what we need done should and would only take a professional plumber 20-30minutes to do. However the plumber decided to call my Fiancé back to cuss her out explaining how he works to “D@#% hard for her bull*##” and that if him waving the fee wasn’t good enough then he doesn’t care. Which money was never an issue in fact we would have paid more! If he would have just had a civil conversation about the work getting done. Once I heard the nasty way he spoke to my Fiancé I ask to speak to him just for him to tell me that I need to “teach” her respect and how to talk. I ignored his sexist remarks and comments to only explain to him that all we wanted was our sink fixed today as promised only for him to threaten me by inviting me to a Walmart parking lot to fight out his frustration. I just don’t understand how he can make the time to meet me to fight but couldn’t come out to fix my faucet and receive payment for doing so. I wouldn’t recommend this plumber, this plumbing business to anyone. Not even for a porta John"

"My water heater was leaking periodically from the relief valve pipe. I thought it was the valve that was going bad. Speedy Plumbing came and diagnosed the problem within seconds. Charles knew right away that it was actually the thermal expansion tank that was malfunctioning and needed replaced. He was right! The tank was already full of water. Charles was super helpful and professional throughout the entire process, despite the fact that I could tell it had been a long day for him. He replaced the expansion tank really fast and secured it better than how it was before. I really appreciate the help and will definitely use Speedy Plumbing again in the future."
