"Window world is a significantly problematic company. A simple remodel included the wrong parts, defective parts and many warranty issues. They have no quality measures or process controls so factory defects end up installed in your home. There are much better companies for doors & windows."
"Ordered our windows from the Theodore, Al. Office. Chase the salesman came to the house and presented his sales pitch with excitement. So much so, he failed to order the correct windows, after we drew a picture and he made comment on how the type windows fit our era and style of my house. After 21 weeks of waiting without Window world contacting us. We finally had our windows installed, although the wrong style. They were professionally installed and clean. The shutters were installed and some were faded. Still waiting for an answer on the shutter. The installation I will give a 10 but the administration is not reliable. The manager won't respond to my calls, only gives the answers to the girls upfront."
"Terrible response time!! I bought windows from Window World years ago. Out of the 20+ I bought (including 2 bay windows) almost everyone has needed to be replaced due to streaking. Recently I needed 2 single windows and a bay window replaced (under warranty). It's been over 6 months and my bay window is STILL not replaced. 2 times, it arrived broken into 100's of pieces, then they 'forgot to order it' and now I am still waiting for them to truck the window from NC to a Phila. location. So frustrating I can't see out of my bay window for MONTHS!!"
"We signed a contract with Chaz at Window World of Waco,Texas in early June 2020 for a $6000 replacement/installation.Our custom windows were installed in July.A large bedroom window was broken on arrival, so we waited four weeks for a new one. When it arrived it didn’t fit the space. The installer taped the broken one and left it.Both my husband and I have had to leave multiple messages before anyone from Window World returns our calls. The office puts the blame on the sales department and the salesman says the front staff is new and disorganized. However, definitely made sure we were billed for the entire amount in July! On September 7, Chaz called back to say that he’d check the warehouse and call back. (He did not call). When I called him again, he said that he had an invoice and confirmation that our window had been delivered. He said he’d do some checking and call me back.(He did not call). The next day Misty from the office called my husband at work saying that our replacement had never been ordered. It is now October. We don’t understand why they have not initiated communication with us...if only to reassure us that they haven’t forgotten. We regret our choice to give them our business and do not recommend Window World of Waco, Texas."
"I cannot think of a more poorly run company. I ordered my windows in May. I was stood up for the first installation, despite the fact that I had done everything I was supposed to do to get the room ready. The second installation day came, and we got up very early, then the installation team was running late, so we could have slept in. They began to install the windows only to find that they were measured wrong. They put in one window, tapped it into place, and left. They said that they would have the owner of the Tifton, Georgia, franchise contact me. They said to expect his call that day. He never called. Later, maybe two weeks later, after I called corporate, they called back and asked if they could come double check the windows. Lo and behold, the windows that they had declared the wrong size were then magically declared the right size. They set an installation date for this past Saturday. This past Saturday, once again, I stayed home, but at least this time, I knew not to wake up early or get the house ready. Of course, they didn't show or call. I have taken a ding on my credit rating because I agreed to use their Wells Fargo interest-free financing, which of course resulted in a credit inquiry. Now that I am never going to get any windows, I wish I hadn't applied for that card. So, I have waited many months for absolutely nothing. Repeated calls to corporate have got me nowhere. I am disgusted and cannot more strongly advise you not to do business with this company."
