"I was having power plug computer issues Oct. 13-2023. The Geeks at Work could not fix it, and it would have to be sent out for a couple of weeks. They recommended that I purchase a computer from them. They said, “We will simply switch hard drives out and said it would work great”! I informed them that I was genuinely concerned! I run a small business, and I cannot afford to be out of business for any length of time and I have had several bad experiences in the past with other computer people telling me not to worry about a thing. I told them again, I have a bad feeling about this, and they once again reassured me, “no problem”! I offered any passwords or anything to back up my computer and the said no that won’t be necessary. They completed the process in about 30 minutes, I left with both computers. This was a Friday evening and when I had gotten back to my office, I had discovered they sent me off with a truly terrible computer that was deathly slow, and the battery would hold a charge for one second. They didn't do any backups and they were unavailable that afternoon. I could not recover my information on Outlook and could not work. The owner, Mish, had disappeared on Friday and was unavailable all-day Monday. I talked to Nordic and Dougnet on Monday morning the 16th, who tried to help me for hours and hours and could not give me a solution. (Those are great companies to work with). I went back to the Geeks Monday afternoon 10-16-2023, I asked the computer tech if we could just switch everything back to how it was and I was told by him that it's not going to work, I asked that he do it anyway with nothing else to lose! The tech got the drive back in and configured things for about an hour or so and everything ended up working. Back to square one. I left the horrible computer there with the tech, 10-16-2023 including the power plug that same day. (They claim I did not return the plug) which is completely not true, that old computer would not work without the plug, and I handed the plug right to the tech on staff. I told the tech to refund the computer. I returned it the 2nd business day after purchase, and they should have made a full refund of the $493.99 I was charged, for what they put me through! No refund was made for anything…I called/texted for the owner approximately 15 plus times over the next 3 to 4 weeks and they did not return any of my calls or money. Meanwhile I had a business to run! I had to finally spend more of my time going back in their shop. The tech guy there was very rude, and raised his voice to me about a non-issue and the owners were not there. Afterward, the only response from The Geeks at Work / Computer Tamers was a bill dated 12-7-2023 telling me I owed them more money and the worst computer ever would not be refunded. They fraudulently loaded me with bogus bills for the very issues they caused. They are trying to charge me for “resolving issues with email accounts, and office – computer – Labor in store” The Geeks are 100% at fault for all these issues! Why am I paying these people to fix a problem they caused? What about my time and great frustration I spent on this over the past few months, time with calls, travel, time out of business? Next stop is the Attorney general’s office! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! Mike B."
