Finesse Cuts Barbershop

"Stopped by earlier to check out if they could do a type of taper cut and shape up my beard. I was told it is $45 with beard included. Came back after work and expressed I am growing out my hair please do not cut it lower than it needs to and just focus on ear length. The barber immediately started with 1 inch in well above my ear. Asked him why did he start so low instead of a 3 or at least a 2 inch? He said my hair doesn't allow it to be done the way I asked. So, we had him start with a 3 inch with the other side and it was a little better. He started to high and went down. He should have start at least (bottom ear or mid ear). To top it all off he left my hair uneven and told him do not touch my facial hair because he obliviously did not know how to properly trim it down. When it was done, he said $45...I asked wasn't it 45 with the beard? Apparently its 45 regardless... In my head if you think your work is worth that fine, I am just going to go home and fix this up. A big disappointment and the fact no other barber intervened to set thing right just speaks volumes of the establishment. Believe these 4/5-star ratings if you like. I would say think twice about going here."

"I've been looking for a new barber for the past year. Based on other reviews, I decided to give Finesse Cuts a shot and got an appointment with Chanel. He was excellent and provided a great experience - I found my new barber! I appreciated that Chanel took his time with my cut, he regularly checked in to ensure that what he was doing aligned with what I wanted, and he had a cool and positive energy. Chanel works by appointment only, so call the shop number in advance to get on his schedule. If you can't get a slot with Chanel, one of the other guys in the shop can hook up you because they were also doing really good work."

"Been coming to Finesse Cuts since they opened. They are a GREAT business that I would recommend to anyone. I love the fact the shop feels like a barbershop should with all the back and forth BS men do. At the same time they are also professional. Great combination. Chanel is my barber and he is on point with his business as he keeps me aware of his schedule and is always accommodating if I need him. I tell people all the time he is the best barber in NY. It’s super convenient since I currently work near Bryant Park, so it’s always a short walk.
