Reviews
"It was a terrible dinning experience. The restaurant owner reconnected two dishes. Both are very salty and oily. During the whole time, we were the only guests in this restaurant. We went to Flushing for Chinese food many time. It is the worst restaurant I ever been."
"It was one of the worst take-out experiences we have had in the US and we strongly recommend not to try anything from Maple Garden. The order process via Hungry Panda App was super bad and slow, it took us almost 2.5 hours to receive it after placing our orders. We ordered about 7-8 dishes to share with a group of 9 people and only 1 dish was good. The worst dishes were Double-Cooked Pork and Fuqi Feipian which we could barely see meat but only veggies or dried bean curd in the dish."
"I went here without looking at the reviews and I kinda regret that. When I went there, it was empty. There were no customers. I immediately thought, “Oh no, this isn’t a good sign.” I was already so hungry so I just took a leap of faith. I was ordering in English and a little in Mandarin. The waitress’ English was limited. The first dish I wanted to order was the Shredded Potato but she told me they don’t have it then proceed to say “Beef?” I was confused, I thought she meant that they have Shredded Potato with beef instead (yeah it doesn’t make sense, I know) so I said, “Okay” to that order. Then, I ordered another dish. My brain was a little more aware 10 secs later so I asked her to show me the dish I said “OK” to just to make sure there wasn’t any miscommunication. She flipped the menu and pointed to a beef with green peppers dish that costs $15. I told her that I do not want it, and I’ll replace that with a beef noodle soup ($6.95) instead. Her recommendation wasn’t even close to what I had originally wanted and if I didn’t follow up, I was stuck with that $15 overpriced dish. At this point, I’m speaking full on Mandarin. If you speak English and not Mandarin Chinese, they use that to their advantage. Be careful. I was a little wary eating my beef noodle soup because based on the appearance of the restaurant, I worry that my stomach was going to have a party. And you know what, it didn’t (whew)! When I received the bill, she charged us $1 more for the beef noodle soup. I didn’t bother because I just wanted to leave. These people are cheats. Honestly, the food was flavorful and tasty. What a shame."
"I recently ate dinner there with family! Delicious food! Seaweed flounder was amazing! String beans were fresh and delicious! Lions head was tender and soft. The xiao long buns, were delicious, but wasn’t as soupy as I thought! Overall experience was positive and sad that no one ate there! We were the only table. Hope more customers visit this delicious restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!"
