"This was the worst counseling experience I have ever had. My husband and I sought out counseling to help our marriage and I found that every time we left our counseling session with Kendra King we felt worse about each other and the relationship. Kendra failed to give us any constructive advice or tools as to how we could operate and work together as a couple. Each session was like an episode of Jerry Springer her listening to our craziness for an entire hour and offering nothing but an appointment for the next visit. I used these sessions as a way to express myself and release pent up anger from the emotional and physical abuse that I had been through however Ms. King advice to my trauma suffered by my husband was to let it go and forgive or I was going to be alone. She didn’t see fit to even tell my husband things he could do to not be emotional triggered so that he wasn’t verbally and physically abusive. She constantly allowed him to interrupt me as I was speaking but would step in to moderate me if I exhibited disruptive behavior. On a day that my husband did not want to go to the appointment I reached out to Kendra and asked if I could still come she told me no because she could not see just me as it was a conflict of interest. The next and very last session with Kendra she decided to end 15 minutes into the session because I told her she was being very one sided because I was fed up with how she moderated the session in my husband’s favor. She then said she was triggered and our session was over. I told my husband that I did not want to come back. She then turned to my husband and told him that he could give her a call to schedule a session with her when he was ready. I thought that was a conflict of interest to see just one of us I exclaimed she then cleared it up to say you didn’t let me finish I mean for the both of you as if she didn’t hear me say I wasn’t coming back before she made that offer to him. That woman is unprofessional on all levels and if you can be triggered by someone telling you they feel you are being one sided then maybe you shouldn’t be counseling anyone."
"Highly unprofessional. Let me know at the last minute via text that she had to reschedule. I wouldn’t recommend"
"This is a fabulous counseling center. Felt safe, comfortable and heard. Really looking forward to growing and healing."
