"Had the most wonderful experience! Don is the BEST. Had my gucci belts resized, my louboutins re-souled and he even gave all of the shoes a waterproof spray for me. He literally brought life back into a pair of boots I thought were ready for the trash. If you have designer items don't hesitate to bring them to Don. He's been doing it for 40+ years and it shows. "Not impressed. I would not recommend this place. Took a brand new pair of sneakers in to get stretched. It was a 1 1/2 weeks (which I figured is reasonable since stretching shouldn’t be that involved) so I tried calling (twice) to get a timeline and nobody ever answered the phone. So now I have to make an extra trip to drive there just to find out the status of my shoes. He didn’t seem to give a reason why they weren’t answering their phones and then proceeded to tell me my shoes aren’t ready - that they had a lot of shoes in the back to be stretched. I decided then it sounded like an excuse so I politely asked for my shoes back which he had no problem with (he almost seemed relieved to get rid of a pair). No apology or anything. I then drove right over to Evanstown Shoe Repair and from the first impression it was a world of difference. He told me what it would run and said they would be done tomorrow. Assuming all goes well, which I don’t have any reason to believe it won’t, I am very pleased I moved on. I guess the positive is at least I got my shoes back and they didn’t lose them."

"I walked in just to have more glue added to the sole of a pair of slippers, and a small amount of stitching reinforced on another pair of slippers. The owner was so rude! He said he was so busy and would call me when the work was done. He would not give me a timeframe for completing this simple job. I asked him how much it would cost and he said I never give prices up front, I charge as I go. He was barking this information at me. I have never dealt with anyone so nasty. I really don't know how he is in business. I took my slippers and left."

"Best shoe repair in the Buffalo area. Family owned and operated. I live near the Elmwood village, it is well worth the trip if you want to take care of your nicer shoes!! Other shoe repair shops near me either don't have good reviews or simply don't have the experience that Don does. The shoes I just picked up I had a nice rubber sole put on, where they were purchased with just a leather bottom. Hoping to have these shoes for a decade or two."
