"Bubbles prices are reasonable and she has a very nice establishment. Her staffer did a good job with dying my beard!!!!!!!!"
"If I could give it zero stars I would. I had the most terrible experience with them last year. I went in to retouch my roots and add streaks and a silk press . I told the lady I wanted to re dye my roots the ginger color that was already on my hair and she repeatedly said mocha. I had to remind her TWICE that's not what I wanted. I simply wanted my roots touched up however she lightened my entire head which was mostly ginger, then proceeded to dye my entire head mocha, THEN bleach certain pieces for the streaks. The smarter thing would've been to leave out the pieces she was going to bleach from the beginning so that she could avoid all the extra processing and not having to bleach both the old and new color out for the streaks. My hair was so stringy and lifeless. My hair was also pink at the ends because of the existing ginger underneath all that mess she did. She also had the audacity to shrug her shoulders when I asked what was I suppose to do when she washed it out and showed me it was pink. She said something like "that was going to happen since the hair was ginger already" when all I wanted was my roots done. She tried to tone it but that didn't help. The owner was also no help as she kept complaining about how she only does short hair since mine was too long. After being there for 9 hours, I finally was getting my silk press. (I had to skip some steam treatment since they took forever to do my hair. If I did it I would've been there longer) The second lady who gave me a silk press was nice but constantly kept burning my scalp, I had scars afterwards that have luckily healed by now. My first time washing my hair after this, I realized I had heat damage and my hair in the front was completely damaged by the bleach. I've had my hair bleached and straightened before and this never happened. The owner had the audacity to tell me to come back in two weeks and waste money on a treatment that I could do at home that they charge $90 for. As if I would after spending a full 11 hours there (appt @10am and I left @9pm). I would not recommend them to anyone."
"Came in November asking for dark green color. I will say the positive first the place is clean and nice vibe, everyone was nice for the most part, and they took their time with my hair didn't feel rushed. The owner was persistent i get a bleach even though she never saw any of the photos of the color. This was my first time getting my hair bleached so i trusted her. But I think she left the bleach sit in for a long time cuz it was really blonde which I didn't understand because I wanted a dark color. She then tried to mix colors to get a darker color and allowed her assistant to put the color in and it was a hot mess, left with 3 different colors of green on my head and a pricey bill. My hair feels dry and dead no matter how much I deep condition it and now I'm contemplating cutting my hair because there so much breakage. I guess my biggest regret was saying yes to it being bleached."
"I went here a few days ago for the second time, I was going to write a review after the first visit but I needed to be sure, I'm sure... I love the energy in this place. All the hair artists in here have wonderful attitudes and personalities. The shop is very warm and welcoming, very dope atmosphere. My path to this shop was a long one that began with a loctician I found in New Rochelle. I was new at this loc stuff so I travelled all the way from Queens to her shop for a couple years before she changed the way she booked her clients and moved everything to online... I was fine with the change but had no success for months booking an appointment with her, I asked her to help me just get a spot several times but she said she couldn't do it that way anymore... after a while I gave up and the thought dawned on me, I'll ask a Queens focused facebook group if they recommend anyone to help with loc styles. The floodgates were opened and I looked at everyone's work or the work of people they recommended and then I found the one... I found Asha. Now for the reason why we're here... Asha (Lefthanded LocGoddess) is the absolute best! I've only had her services twice but I absolutely LOVE her. Her energy, her patience, determination, her sense of humor and her imagination, she has it all. First time I went to her for a simple style but I was curious about some things I saw on her page. She asked me questions and led me to tell her my birthday was coming up as she rummaged through my locs with her fingers... she paused and said "oh then we're gonna have to do something special with these, it's your birthday" and then she put her head down and went to work... she washed my hair, retwisted me then sat me down for a style... I had no idea what she was gonna do but I let her have at it. Now I'm a simple man, not flashy or flamboyant at all and I kinda suggested as much but Asha had a plan... I didn't look or peek, I just let her work, my head moving in directions I never felt with my previous loctician but I was sure it was turning out fine and 3 quarters of the way to being done, she decided to show me what it was looking like and spun my chair around and my heart sunk... I loved the left half of my hair, it looked so dope the simple touch she did with my locs, she made the locs criss coss on the way back but the right side... she put a $ symbol, it literally was a money sign and I thought it looked amazing, just not in my head, it wasn't me and I told her I like the left but not the right and she said "ok" and she casually stepped behind me and undid the entire side and then gently redid it to match the side I liked... didn't complain, didn't huff or puff... she just did it. I felt so bad but she went back to telling her jokes, with me and her co-workers like nothing... it felt so good to not feel a change in her energy or anything. When she was done I asked her to do something with my ends because I'm kinda weird about my hair touching my skin, I want it up or tucked away... she calculated and figured it out and got my ends away from my neck and I was absolutely satisfied by the entire experience. I wholeheartedly recommend her for all your loc styling needs. I'd give her 11 stars but Google caps it at 5 so 5 it is until I figure out how to manipulate the rating system. Asha is my loctician but I gladly share her with you, you will not be disappointed."
"Almost a year ago was first time I came to this shop, after researching for a quality stylist to do my big chop AND continue to do my hair. From my first visit, I was welcomed to the warm atmosphere and knew I found my stylist and I would embrace my new makeover. Bubbles always makes me feel brand new getting out her chair. I always leave it up to her, and walk out looking great."
